Even More Random Thoughts

Every time I come onto the boards lately, I regret it. I should probably heed that at some point.

Dude, I talk a lot of shit for a muh fucker who spends his weekends trying to find titty dancers that will lap dance to the Never Ending Story.

Anyone who had you on their buddy list (or possibly followed you on the story side?) got converted to a follower
I got Breezey converts!!! Awesome! 😁:nana:

It shall now begin, mwhahahaha

(and no idea that I was on anyone's buddy's list--or had followers on the story side either lol )

A friend deployed and now his deployment is extended.
A friend getting word he’ll be deploying within the next month.
Waiting to hear if my husband will deploy.
It’s been a year...I still get sad and have questions.
There are 3 sides to every story, not just yours.
The grocery stores aren’t able to restock as quickly or easily.
Thank goodness for great friends, whiskey and the internet!

My random (not quite random) thought is that the 'Dislike' button / reaction (seeing that it's possible to be added) should be entirely available for usage.

With how this place can get I don't know if I want it. I'm kinda enjoying the positivity atm.

I understand it could brew (further) discordance, but there doesn't need to be an explanation or follow-up reply to the reaction, if it is used.

I think I understand what Sunday is saying in regards to a dislike button. I could see some people getting dissuaded from posting here after receiving dislikes on their posts. The whole social media aspect of “likes” and a sense of being approved isn’t always the best way… but what do I know 🙄

This sort of 'yes-man' and adulation culture current is an unhealthy illusion. Getting a reality check, once in a while, never hurt anyone. Just like a well-spoken and timely 'No'.

Through most of social media I totally agree. The playground is a bit of a safe place for me, and conversely has a propensity towards toxic behaviour. Now I appreciate that a dislike button can resolve that, but just in the last few days it seems so much more positive that I'd be loathe to change it needlessly.

Assuming you're still referring to the previous conversation that is.

I definitely agree with what you’re saying, but I can see how it could affect some adversely here. Personally, it wouldn’t stop me, but I could see it being a detractor for some.

100% with reference to the playground.

If people want to descend into spiteful, ill-willed disagreements, they will, here or anywhere else. It won't be a 'dislike' button that will solely prompt that.

My stance remains the same, as it would be nice to have a feature (akin to the 'Like' reaction) that would allow me to make a point across with minimal interaction (read: without having to post a post).

In no way am I disagreeing with that, as we have seen it happen countless times here with the unneeded drama.

But the simple drive-by of a dislike button isn’t needed. I could see it possibly preventing someone who is intimidated from some people here from continuing to post.

I’m here on lit for fun and I don’t take anything serious. I don’t get drawn into the drama, I just laugh it off. If I don’t like something, I look past it and keep moving.

Your way of "Lit-ing" is your way alone. I care not for it. I care about my way of "Lit-ing". Personally, it would be nice to have that option, if it is available.

I get it. Not saying you're wrong, just stating a preference.

That is the beauty of this place, everyone does it their own way:)

With that, I hope you have a great time here today, and don’t cross many posts that would make you wish for a dislike button.
