Whiskey dick is a real thing, but chronic alcoholism can certainly lead to impotence, both short and/or long term.

To answer your question, I don’t know if you take it personally; maybe he had good intentions as far as trying to be in a fun mood. I have a feeling you would know in many ways if booze is taking over as his priority
