I just think it's funny he bothered to go back and change it ... did he think I was going to report him? It would take a lot more than that for me to make that much effort ... I didn't even bother when Coach threatened to break my arm, because (a) the proposition was just so laughable and (b) it was clear evidence that he couldn't actually manifest a logical argument any more.

This is the problem with hegemonic toxic femininity. You can present ideas which are obviously personally offencive to those that you are presenting idiotic ideas to and you don't get why they should be offended at all.
Their being offended is evidence that your ideas are somehow valid.

I'm pretty careful to not personally attack people until they do so to me - at that point, I stop giving a fuck.
I've probably slipped a few times, although even then it would usually be about things they've actually said on the boards, not their ex-Lit life.
If you find the idea that men, as a group, might benefit from patriarchal structures, personally offensive, I'm sorry. I don't believe I've ever said that about you personally, and I'm fully aware that many men DON'T benefit from those structures - that belief is kind of fundamentally inbuilt into the theoretical concept of hegemonic masculinity. If you'd bothered to read anything about it, instead of deciding what it meant based on a tenuous understanding of the notion of 'hegemonic' and an assumption that 'masculinity' is singular, then you'd have some inkling of the complexity of the situation.
But clearly it easier to just typify anyone who argues from that position as a (sometimes racist) man-hater.
I can find examples ad nauseum in which being male is beneficial in modern society - I just CHOOSE not to because I've been down that path numerous times on the GB in the past, and it's clear that either people ignore the supported examples I provide, or cherry pick tiny little points to engage with and use largely anecdotal 'evidence' to respond.
I've said this numerous times. Neither you nor Bot have demonstrated any desire to actually engage in these discussions with any actual good faith.
