Today I tried a FYND product!

It's an alternative protein source (fungi) found during a NASA funded study on life in extreme environments. (Geothermal springs at Yellowstone.) I won't bore you with the details, but if anyone is interested - Link.

FYND breakfast sausage.

No cholesterol (obvs), 50% more protein, less than half the calories, and - it tastes just like breakfast sausage. Cost is a smidge more, but comparable. AND, it's actually sustainable.

The really cool thing is I remember this discovery making the news. Right around the time I was finishing grad school, or slightly after.


I am now on a quest to find the yogurt.
