Do your readers write Alternate endings in the comments

I'm working on a full-on, no-apologies hot-wife story I'm going to post to Loving Wives soon and I'm curious to see how many readers tell me they are sure the husband and wife end up unhappy, disease-ridden, on the street, or dead.
Well, they will wind up dead, won't they?

Like many here, I get occasional 'why don't you do ...?' comments, which I generally ignore (unless what they say has already entered my brain as a follow-up).

The only two that were oddly intriguing involved the very same idea (someone earlier mentioned the 'impregnation' part) in my one and only non-human story (Hindu mythology, a forest demon).

Commenters:
... But what happened to those two women. Did they get pregnant? Did they come back? Please do a part two or something... Still enjoyed.

Then another:

<long dissection> So will there be a part 2? And will the women get pregnant? Then what?

It's not a category I read, and this is my only entry, and maybe this is a more common interest here than elsewhere, but the idea hadn't occurred to me and almost prompted me to take up the notion and run with it.

But you will take sequels of everything to that point, won't you? And the end will be happy for everyone, right?
In this case there definitely won't be a sequel. It will be for the reader to imagine what happens next.

I write a lot of loving wife stories. I admit I like the category and even enjoy the BTB crowd that gets so irate. What I find the funniest is people who try to write alternate endings to my stories. Sometimes at least 5 paragraphs. I mean, they take a lot of effort.

Does this happen to others or just me.
A lot of readers tell me they duidn't like am ending.

We could probably start a whole other thread on "Weirdest / Worst Endings / Continuations Suggested By Readers" šŸ˜†
That sounds promising. As for myself, I could only contribute suggestions that weren't truly awful, but merely not my style.

I don't believe that I ever had a suggestion with an entire alternate ending written.

But sometimes my protagonist will aim for a happy ending, which may involve forgiving a cheating wife. Or maybe the wife is even smarter than her husband and gets away with it.

As other have alluded to, such endings usually create a lot of feedback in LW. Mostly along the line of: "Kill yourself you fucking cuck." But a few times I have gotten actual suggestions to alternative directions that the story could have taken.

Jokes aside, if I had enough commenters to get someone bold enough to write an alternate ending I'd read the hell out of it. Whether its done out of love or ire I could at the very least laugh about it.

I’ve never experienced this and to be honest it sounds intimidating… I’m happy with the small amount of praise and excitement I receive as feedback, and the few readers who are interested in talking more in depth with me about the chapter. I really don’t know what I would do if someone tried to alternate an ending to a story I’ve written…

Then again I doubt the one series I have published will ever reach its end, at least no time in the viable future. šŸ˜…

I got slammed with the ending of a recent monster. It was a series that totaled 440,000 words and a reader thought I missed the point with the ending.

My mistake. 🫄

They can write their own book. Laugh at their hubris and move on.

How many of you get comments telling you where a series should go? I get a fair number who are overly enthusiastic for impregnations.

Someone did ask that I create an alternate universe where my exhibitionist sex addict MC actually doesn't like being exposed in front of women, while another requested an alternate universe where my well-hung MC is, ouch, literally physically emasculated...twig and berries! I always appreciate the interest and engagement, but it was a no on both accounts...šŸ˜‰

Your hot wife stories are doing surprisingly well, showing that good vibes in extramarital fun can succeed in LW. Quite the opposite of the toxic, racist, sadistic stuff pretending to be erotica.
Thank you. I’m very lucky to have developed a great following.
