1. No

2. Hell yes, I'm not paying those rip off merchants to change my oil!

3. I need to service my car????

4. That is what men are for. ;)

5. I try like hell. Then when something breaks, I take it to the mechanic! I need a starter now. Does anyone have some free time and a box of tools?

;)

I have free time and a box.... anyone else got a tool. ;) lol

Nope....I got a card for $11 oil changes at the dealer where I bought my car and the local garage is good with all my other needs.

Well, car needs, anyway.:)

Have a good morning, T.H.oughts:rose:

I used to service my own car. But my car fucked me over. Now someone else is servicing my car.

It's OK though. She's high mileage now and the service charges are just going to keep climbing. The lubrication will break down and the whining from the gear box will only get louder. She'll end up in the hands of a far younger man who really can't afford her, but can buy her because she's cheap now.

I guess that cars are just whores. And it's only a matter of price. :D

Sorry sweetie, would you like your sump drained. ;)

Actually, Ish just described my car....errr mini van, to a "T!"

What a fickle bitch !

It was paid for in February and since then, I have put at least another year's worth of car payments into repairs.

Argh!

A simple LC tip, if you hear a noise in your car/truck, turn up the volume on your stereo until the noise goes away! No problem! :D

Hey I saw the tempreture gauge on my car go up half way today. I was only 5 mins from home so I put of cloth over the gauge to take my mind off it, lol

*females* :D

My service light went on about a month ago. I just waited a couple of weeks and it went off on it's own.

Hell, I've got patience if it's not making a bunch of noise.:D

Ok, I'm now very worried for your cars.

Hell yes, I take care of my own, and on the rare occasions she does need a mechanic, he does his work with me watching. I don't let the doctor take my kids into the exam room without me present and I'm not letting someone manhandle my baby without my supervision either.

I try to, but anything more than changing the oil or putting new fluids in I usually leave to someone else.

When I still had my car I would do the basics, like changing oil and filters and such. My dad made sure I knew how to do that and change a tire when I bought my first car. I got a few odd looks when I'd crawl under the car with a wrench to start draining oil out.
