"Does your shoe have a boy inside?
What a funny place for a boy to hide..."

Another dang jingle stuck in my head now! :D
I had at least one pair of Buster Brown's when I was of pre-school age. They were T-straps with two buckles going across, and had some sort of perforated design on the top. They were a dark red color... ;)

1964...My mom gave me enough lunch money for a sandwich, chips and a drink. The little place I went to next to school had a jukebox. If I had a quarter left I would play 'Oh Pretty Woman' twice and 'I Saw Her Standing There' once. Then, switch off the next time. I loved the way McCartney shouted One...Two...Three...FO!!
I'm still waiting to see a picture of you as a child.
You show me yours, and I'll show you mine... :p

I guess I must be like Radar from M.A.S.H.--I loved both grape Nehi and orange Nehi as a kid...although they would turn your teeth/tongue either purple or orange.

I remember hearing the clatter of the bottles before dawn, and the sound of his truck pulling away.

It was neat pouring milk from a bottle, and having it delivered at home.:rose:

We lived in the country and got our milk and butter from the cows we had.. but when we moved to the city I remember getting milk in plastic coats paper cartons.. the ones that had the spout that folded out..

A few of my favorite treats when I was growing up were Drumstick ice cream cones, Mr. Misty (Lime flavor) at Dairy Queen, Fudgsicles, snow cones, and Eskimo Pies.

and skateboards.. we made our own using boards and old skates we got from the roller rink that was about 5 blocks from my house..
