I'm fairly fluent in US English, however I still get caught out from time to time. I'd never heard of a Picture Hat for instance.

Ummm...what's a picture hat???

I remember the big vinyl seats and sliding around if they took a turn! Who woulda thunk that strapping in kids like astronauts on the way to the moon was what they should have been doing!

DYR when you were a kid and being outside with friends was the best thing in the world during the summer? You'd go to the park till noon, then home for lunch, then back out to the park to resume your games, then home for dinner, then back out with your friends to play whiffle ball, or chase, or tag. There were no video games or activities for Mommy to take you to every hour of the day.

DYR when you were a kid and being outside with friends was the best thing in the world during the summer? There were no video games or activities for Mommy to take you to every hour of the day.

I remember scabby knees, berry stained mouth and fingers, and so much roaming and fort building our folks saw us at meals, bath and bed time

I was always a clutz and remember my parents got me "double runner skates" for xmas. I remember the pond full with kids and falling down over and over.

I think it is just colourful and has a wide brim to keep he sun off

I remember lying awake at night, supposed to be in sleeping, and getting my radio and tuning it into static filled station that covered the Red Sox. (WITS).

And every time theyd play the Yankees and the game was close the Yanks would bring in Goose Gossage, and my heart would sink because I knew the game was over.

I remember Mom walking with a sled in tow, head to the store to get food. She loaded up the sled and came home.

Do you remember going outside and finding snow banks taller than you. At that age every thing looked like it was 20' tall.

Oh, you know typical little girl things....playing house, doctor, mother, librarian (lol, yes I did) Barbies, and of course DENTIST. We used to pic our sisters teeth with nut pics and toothpaste and pretend we were dentists. She had to have extensive dental work due to our ... abilities


Do you remember when you could get root beer from the rootbeer stand in tall frosty mugs so cold your lip would stick to them (they're chilled now, not the same AT ALL)
