I had the same thoughts once and have been blessed with the most wonderful love of all. The longer it lasts, the more I realize how lucky I have been.

Love is the greatest miracle of all. And DLL is right. It may come to you when you least expect it. From the most unlikely places.
Which is why you should keep an open heart. To accept true love when it arives. To embrace it. To return it.

My thoughts on Love.....and I completely concur with everything said above..
I believe Love is the energy, the joy that we send out and receive from everything. The relationships with people change but love doesn't. So I don't measure love in terms of the relationship. I love and I receive love. I used to think love was specific to particular relationships and at that time felt lonely because I wasn't in the one relationship I wanted to be in.
Now I am open to receiving love, I see that I recieve it from so many places, like a childs smile when I walk around the supermarket, or the trees and flowers when I go for a walk. The kittens that I have in the house right now. Not forgetting my friends and family...It's everywhere and it certainly is a miracle.
Just my tuppence worth of thought.

What about give and you shall receive? What goes around comes around? Cliche for sure but let's not just put the emphasis on receiving....there are benefits to giving as well.

but some people do takje an active role in working on it. I for one will go back to my therapist to helpm deal with it., There is no way in God's green earth I will let it consume mne for over 3 years. I will also never allow my broken heart to interefere with a relationsip I am in. It is plain and simple. How important is the person that is in your life worth. Are they worth doing everything possible to maintain that relationship or does the one that is over worth pining over and letting it ruin you. Only the person can make that choice. I for one will make sure I do whatever is possible to get over mine. And when that finally happens or startes to happen. I will be damned if I allow it to get hurt by the smae person ever again
