About two years ago, two of my friends (along with two other young men) were tortured and maliciously murdered. One of these animals was sentenced to death. This is very unusual in the state of Nevada but speaking for family and friends of the victims, we are looking for restitution and justice. This particular murdere, named Dante, appealed his sentence and the Supreme court may overturn the verdict. This is very painful for those who were close to these young men. Many of us are just beginning to heal. My questions are, What do you think of this? and How can we appeal the appeal?

R.I.P. Matthew Mowen, Jeffrey "Crash" Biddle and Tracy Gorringe. You are missed greatly.

you can't appeal the appeal, you can go to the DA and voice your concerns and request you be allowed to the hearings to voice your grief.

I'm a cruel and sadistic SOB, I say this with no sarcasm towards your pain. I would become penpals with some of his fellow prisoners. Your imagination can run wild after that suggestion. Anything I say may be viewed illegal. No PM's about the subject please. Prisoners have a "Code" and they have "Justice" if a fellow prisoner was found guilty of a crime.

I beleive that the Supreme court may overturn the verdict because they may find the panel of four judges who convicted him biased. Also, the death sentence is very unusual in Nevada. I do beleive that if the verdict is overturned these SOBs will not live long anyway but as for the victims families, who are just starting to heal, this will just bring back so much pain. I, personally would love to witness these animals burn in hell, where they belong. It happened in 98 and I'm still referring to it as 2 years ago. This just shows how this subject is almost surreal to me. I can still feel Matt and Crash's arms around me in big bear hugs. I can only imagine how their mothers and fathers feel.

christ, I can only imagine your pain. A girl who lived across the street from me was murdered a few years ago. Her murderer got 65 years. He struggled as they led him away. He had to be carried off by four bailiffs, one holding each limb. The next day at school, a girl mentioned that she saw that on TV and said it was horrible, and I tore into her.

I pray that you find solace and that your friends get justice. You all deserve it.

Thanks TEDDYBEAR! I say, an eye for an eye. I appreciate the kind words and it really makes a difference that people out there can relate, as sad as that is. Hopefully, eventually people won't be able to relate. :rose:

Appeals are SOP for all death penalties.

Everyone gets access to state supreme and US supreme court in the appellate process for death penalty cases.
The case cant be overturned, reversed or sent back for retrial unless there are some egregious mistakes made by counsel and or malpractice of incompetency.

As for Judicial bias..........I have never heard of a Death Penalty case that resulted in being overturned for such a basis.

Rest assure, that should these cases be reversed, the best they can ever hope for is life without parole. Good luck. And remember, they wont be free to kill again.

It is comforting to know that their killers are not still at large but it would be more comforting to me and I'm sure everyone else, if people would have more emotion. I don't understand how anyone could kill in cold blood. I just wish there was no trial, no murder and no pain. I wish their families didn't have to lay their flesh and blood to rest. This appeal has stirred up what was already settled.

I understand your pain...

but the truth is that life in prison is far worse than the death penalty. That is a quick and easy way out of their suffering.

Think about how long they have to live without freedom, being told what to do all the time in prison.

I think life in prison is truly worse.

As bad as living without freedom is, you still get occasional access to learning materials, and can see your friends and family every now and again.

Compared to that, facing down the needle is truly terrifying. At least to me.

Plus, I'd much rather see the killers who murder their victims in cold blood have to experience the terror of knowing they're going to die. It's perfectly just to me.

christcat69 I am sorry. I hope justice is served.

zipman7 I understand your point. But I also think spending ten years or so contemplating your death is a fine punishment also. Watching others make that walk you are going to make. Hoping your appeals work, which they rarely do. Take the bitch in Florida, she tried, well her lawyer did, she fries next week. She needs to.

Stay strong christcat69.

I say if they release him....track him down....and kill him.
While you're waiting you should track down his whore girlfriend and take her out.

There are many things much worse than death. Being sodomized by men is one of them I would imagine. That's only for starters.
