I didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition.
What are you referring to?

I didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition.
It was a reaction to JerseyJade’s confession of crayon thievery and the subsequent replies. It’s a quote from a sketch from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, which is now more than 50 years old, so I shouldn’t be surprised that folks don’t know it.What are you referring to?![]()
Howdy, y'all. I've been lurking since the last time I posted, which I'm guessing some have noticed since I've liked and loved a few posts. This is still a topic of great interest to me and y'all have also been super friendly and welcoming to me, so I stick around even if I have nothing of substance to contribute.Let's bring the conversation back to DD/lg.

Years ago, I decided to rearrange the plates in the bicycle section of a store. I like all these, but the one my sweetheart calls me is my favorite, and it's not listed here.
Do you have a favorite? (You don't have to share it unless you choose to).
I know of this sketch and I knew the reference when I read your post. Now I feel old as well.It was a reaction to JerseyJade’s confession of crayon thievery and the subsequent replies. (Sigh). Getting old sucks.
Nobody suspects the Spanish Inquisition!!It was a reaction to JerseyJade’s confession of crayon thievery and the subsequent replies. It’s a quote from a sketch from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, which is now more than 50 years old, so I shouldn’t be surprised that folks don’t know it.

YES!Noboy suspects the Spanish Inquisition!!
I think my favourite is "kultaseni". Now, 'kulta' is literally gold, but it's also a used for sweetheart or honey, for kids too. 'Kultaseni' is a diminutive form - with possessive suffix. So it amounts to 'my little sweetheart'.Do you have a favorite?
You are so right! There's a big difference between him drawing out the name Bunny in a low growl (hello, wet panties), a sharp Bunny! (I'd better freeze), and a softly sighed Bunny (time for cuddles, he's happy with me).I may be Captain Obvious here, but I feel that it's not just the word chosen that's important, but it's the way it's said. The tone, the volume, and even the look behind it has a major effect on the feeling it will give.
I'm right once in a while...You are so right! There's a big difference between him drawing out the name Bunny in a low growl (hello, wet panties), a sharp Bunny! (I'd better freeze), and a softly sighed Bunny (time for cuddles, he's happy with me).
Why does this one put tears in my eyes and give me all the feels?
Probably because it gets to the heart of who we are.Why does this one put tears in my eyes and give me all the feels?![]()
Yeah, I'm sure you're right. But these aren't all happy feels for me. Good thing I've got tissues at my desk at work...Probably because it gets to the heart of who we are.
I'm right there with you!Yeah, I'm sure you're right. But these aren't all happy feels for me. Good thing I've got tissues at my desk at work...![]()
Yeah sounds like they're putting themselves in a dangerous situation. Physical safety is not being recognized here.Question: Someone asked, "How do I handle a situation where I'm talking to a guy about meeting up and I've told him I physically cannot do some of the things he's interested in, and he replies that he will ease me into it. I'm not afraid or shy, but physically unable - seriously."
I know what I want to tell her, but I want to hear from you. How would YOU handle this?
