It was a reaction to JerseyJade’s confession of crayon thievery and the subsequent replies. It’s a quote from a sketch from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, which is now more than 50 years old, so I shouldn’t be surprised that folks don’t know it.

Years ago, I decided to rearrange the plates in the bicycle section of a store. I like all these, but the one my sweetheart calls me is my favorite, and it's not listed here.

Howdy, y'all. I've been lurking since the last time I posted, which I'm guessing some have noticed since I've liked and loved a few posts. This is still a topic of great interest to me and y'all have also been super friendly and welcoming to me, so I stick around even if I have nothing of substance to contribute.

This caught my attention, however. When I'm called babygirl by either my hubby (which doesn't happen often) or (in the very rare times in my life) by a Dominant man worthy of my respect, it instantly melts me and puts me into that happy little girl headspace and it feels good.

Do you have a favorite?

I think my favourite is "kultaseni". Now, 'kulta' is literally gold, but it's also a used for sweetheart or honey, for kids too. 'Kultaseni' is a diminutive form - with possessive suffix. So it amounts to 'my little sweetheart'.

And somehow it's a version that nobody else has said to me. And it's just so fitting and the voice he uses... It just makes me melt.

I may be Captain Obvious here, but I feel that it's not just the word chosen that's important, but it's the way it's said. The tone, the volume, and even the look behind it has a major effect on the feeling it will give.

I wanted to to add that this was inspired by what @Strixaluco had posted above. Credit where credit is due.

You are so right! There's a big difference between him drawing out the name Bunny in a low growl (hello, wet panties), a sharp Bunny! (I'd better freeze), and a softly sighed Bunny (time for cuddles, he's happy with me).

Question: Someone asked, "How do I handle a situation where I'm talking to a guy about meeting up and I've told him I physically cannot do some of the things he's interested in, and he replies that he will ease me into it. I'm not afraid or shy, but physically unable - seriously."

I know what I want to tell her, but I want to hear from you. How would YOU handle this?

Be honest. If he isn't understanding, he's not the man for you.

She needs to stand up for herself! Use her words and explain to him that there is no ‘easing her into it’ it's a no, hard stop, red line.
This is a major red flag in my mind.

I know I'm new to the thread, but I would agree with French on this. That sounds like a serious issue. Even if the person asking was afraid or shy, that shouldn't matter. Boundaries need to be respected.

Yeah sounds like they're putting themselves in a dangerous situation. Physical safety is not being recognized here.
