Are you using reverse psychology, Og? :D

If so, it isn't working.

The few votes registered so far have dropped the rating to 3.xx

:D

You are too kind. ;)

Now both episodes of Shift Swap are rated as 3.xx and dropping fast.

They might equal my lowest ever if they keep this up.

1.80 was my record low before some of the AH 5-bombed the story (White Scut).

Who needs trolls when you have friends? :D

I reviewed a couple of stories just for the heck of it. Hope I didn't step on any of the regular reviewers toes! Let me know if I took that "Volunteers Welcome" sign too literally... :D

Token Review

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

there are very few stories this morning, so hard to find much to review, but I have to go out , and don't know if more stories are coming along, so thought I'd review one now, with a promise of more - at least a Blast From the Past - later

Shelter From the Storm ch 4 by Sweet Witch is in Romance, not a genre I gravitate towards, but I selected it because it is well written and readable. As the genre dictates, the plot unfolds elegantly, unrushed by expectations of sudden stroke worthy sex. Indeed, there is no sex in this chapter. However, this is a rugged adventure flavoured romance, not dainty at all. The balance between the purposefully revolting and the tenderness of the hero is masterful. making the story accessible and enjoyable even for readers not devoted to Harlequins - more medieval fantasy fiction than bodice ripper. Sweet Witch is offering great promise of more adventure as the story continues, and providing a clinic for aspiring authors in this genre. And goodness knows, any sex that does appear will be hot , I'm sure.....

My dear Sir, I thank you for your very kind words. I am very pleased with the response to this story. It's enough to make me blush.

Thanks again, Molly, SweetWitch

PS--Sorry, but the sex doesn't start until Chapter ten. It just would not fit into the story before then, and I didn't want it to be too unbelievable.

I loved the naughty gnomes

It's a strange experience reading a bunch of stories, looking for one that I want to review.

I find myself noticing the specific characteristics of annoyingly bad writing: overuse of adjectives/adverbs, inconsistent tense, clichés, stories that don't flow well, awkward language texture...

It's becoming easier and easier to identify why I don't like a story - and more and more difficult to find stories that I actually want to finish reading.

I'm also afraid of going back to read my own stories. I'm afraid I'll find the same kinds of things wrong with them.

I can so identify with that.

With the exception of reading my own stories. Although I do spot problems, I still find I write good stuff. Even my earliest works still have a lot going for them.

 Ooop. Done bragging. ;)

sorry I didn't get to Sundays reviews for the past couple of sundays it has been hectic around here. I will try very hard to do this sunday's

To Severus Max,
Thanks for the kind review and PC on Cindy Lou and the New Toy This was actually the eighth story in the series on her.

I would have sent you a PM but your mailbox was full.

Thanks SEVERUSMAX for the other review last night and the kind comments. :) I'm glad you're enjoying the Senatorial Secrets Story. :D

Red and Box, you're both very welcum. I made a point of reviewing stories that caught my eye, since there were so many choices that I couldn't possibly review all of them. Glad that my reviews put you in a good mood.

Clearing in the Woods

Many thanks to Janeixx for her kind review of my new story: Cleaing in the Woods.
It's a pleasure and an honor to be mentioned in the New Story Reviews.

ha! Anon has had a hard time with my use of some words that are common over here in the UK, but evidently unfamiliar to americans. He/she complained profusely via email(s). And probably voted a 1 because they had a headache tryin to translate the story. Guess I spoilt their wank... shame.
