You're quite welcome.

it was so unexpected....."horror" in a whole different way.

Thanks for the review on Take Me Away, RL :D

Arilee is one of my favorite characters, and I wanted to tell this tale, even if the readers are too busy itching for that sequel where she's come into her own *laugh* I spoiled them all with the near constant battles in Blackhawk, and they know she's got magic to play with now too. They're anxious to see her use it in a fight.

Prolific, but with camps of radically different fanbases, all irritated when I'm writing a story for one of the other camps :p My muse is unpredictable and a little scatter-brained, so I'm afraid they're stuck with her ;)

It was my pleasure. I'm rather intrigued by the character ... and I'm looking forward to finding some time to sit down and read the rest of both series.

On Writing

I have said this in private, but I would like to publicly thank janiexx for her kind words and glowing review regarding Pretty Baby. I never thought I would ever write what amounts to an erotic novel, but now that I have, I find that the tale of Alyssa is much more than just a series of erotic encounters and graphic sex.

I have been a writer for more than half my life, and while I have come to accept that I am not the next Dean Koontz or Stephen King or J.K. Rawling, it does my heart proud to have found acceptance and approval in a community such as this.

There are several writers here whom I admire -- Rachlou, Selena, Jenny Jackson, Roguelurker, Rgraham, DanielleKitten, Angelicminx, and AuroraBlack to name but a few, and for various reasons -- and I would like to think that my skill and imagination reaches the bar that they have raised.

Writing erotica is something new to me, and in only two months, I have come to understand that 'titilation' and 'erotica' are not necessarily the same thing.

In the past few weeks, some of the above names have graced me with their comments and praise, both publicly and privately. And I have done my best to show my appreciation. I thank you all.

Recently, I went on a rant about voting and scoring of contest entries with a Lit friend of mine. I told her, at the end of said rant, to feel free to tell me to shut up. She responded with a quite 'cheeky' reply that she had already done so. I admire her for that.

As I admire all of you who have written some of the most incredible erotica I have ever seen. Some may complain about such inconsequentials as the voting system of Literotica and the behavior of 'trolls.' In the end, it is all about the writing, about the satisfaction you receive when someone, somewhere, tells you that a story of yours has touched them.

A few years ago, a psychic told me that my writing would help 'heal and guide' others. That what I write is 'real' in more than one sense of the term. Perhaps I am letting my ego take the better of me when I say this, but I think she has finally been proven right.

Am I a great writer? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Greatness is subjective. But, am I a 'real' writer, who sends out messages from his heart?

I like to think so.

Take it as you will.

Letters and Transcripts

Hmmm...this story certainly ensnared me and kept me reading but the ending...hmmmmmmm! A beautifully written story of a couple parted by war and full of love, tenderness and desire with a clever twist at the end. I don't want to say too much but this one is a definite read and as an entry into the Winter Holiday Contest, I'm hoping it will do well. I gave it a "5".

Thank you, janie! Exactly the reaction I was hoping for on this piece. I was somewhat worried about the response.
