Climate continues to change.

What's with the weird fascination with Wounded Birds. Is that some sort of projection? I have never really seen you as the psychically wounded but I'm open to the idea.

I can tell in context that i am supposed to shrink in fear of your tremendous insight into my psyche, but if you're even partially right you're going to have to break through my barriers of denial first and you've really got your work cut out for you because I don't really see myself that way and how you see me is far less than even remotely relevant.

I realize that you're right now frantically Googling for some little tidbit that you can post to somehow prove the above not to he a valid point of view, but why not just ask phrodo if he can send the Gaia witnesses by with some pamphlets.

As I suggested, you have no need to argue with anything that I beleive about the above, you can simply dismiss it out of hand, as I was certain you would. What I suggested was that you were free to put down in your own words what you think is happening to the Earth. You can articulate what it is that you think you know about global warming.

Pretend you are Martin Luther and just rattle off a few bullet points that you think to be true that you deem worthy of nailing to the door. Or chicken little which ever that religion actually worship... I'm not sure.

Alternatively, you could simply look for spelling and grammatical errors.

No, you always eventually make your point -whether you know it or not- it just takes 6 paragraphs for you to admit the truth. I, on the other hand, am perfectly comfortable in knowing what I don't know, want to know and need to know.

See? This is along the lines of where I go with "climate" change. I often ponder what long-term effect we have on all those tasty animals.

So you are aware there are things you don't know, that puts you miles ahead of Frodo googling for comfirmstion of what he "knows " but you failed to write a single word articulalating whatever you do think about what you do know or even believe you know.

Congratulations that put you in Sgt Ppider-Man territory for articulating your position. That's why no one takes you seriously on any matter of actual serious discussion because you have nothing to say. How many post did you waste trying to get me to articulate a position I articulated this position and you cut and run. Predictible.

Given the temperature ranges are still well within historical known norms, it is absolutely impossible that quote unquote climate change that may occur in the future but has not occurred yet could possibly have the effect that Frodo is claiming.

The very term that Frodo uses in the title of this thread was invented as a fig Leaf to cover the embarrassment of global warming not happening as of yet when it was absolutely guaranteed to be melting all the Polar Ice by now

LOL.

Also, I never asked you, directly or indirectly, about your *feelings* on climate control. Your need for me to not be smart far exceeds your own limitations. It's a palpable display of contempt and affection.

I read Blacks on your reco, thank you. I wasn't very satisfied with the character development and that Susie can be a real cunt but it was pretty decent overall. I give it 4 outta 5 dumpster fires.

Projection, dummy. How early did the other kids start teasing you for being slow, you poor, wounded bird?

Btw, the lack of character development in Black's was by design. Before you Google for Cliff Notes and a book report it would probably be best if you do some "thinking" about the subject matter. Here you go.

When cornered, Q-#### splutters "projection! PROJECTION, DAMMIT!"
*nods*

Nope, the term "climate change" was in use decades before "global warming".

Nope, the term "climate change" was in use decades before "global warming".

No, it was "inadvertant climate modification." It was theorized (reasonably so) that man burning fossil fuels at the rate we were would have some, unknown unintentional consequence.

In the late eighties, a few crackpots were "sure" the earth was irreversibly warming and the term global warming was coined and became predominant.

it was only after bad prediction followed by worse prediction became an absolute embarrassment together with your high priests being caught fudging the numbers that global warming as a term was shirked. You almost never hear it because the statistics do not bear it out.

So climate change, a bastardization of the term used when no one was sure what brand of bad winds of change were on tge way was the replacement. Now, it is the prefered, meaningless catch-all term when fishing for grant money. The fishing is good these days for so-called "climate scientists." You do know there is no such thing as the science of climate, right? Actual scientists investigate physical phenomena that we might hope help us to understand the complex mutiple systems across mutiple disiplines that regulate all manner of things that impact our environment. Astronomers study sol9r flare cycles and orbits for example. "Climate scientists" are not what you call astronomers. Oceanographers also di not call themselves climate scientistis, unless they want grant money. . .

Even though you still cling to 100% disapproven frauds such as the hockey stick graph (and I'm not going to try to disabuse you of your articles of faith) but it is not coincidental that no one's talking about temperature except for crackpots such as yourself.

Now they're whining about a look we're going to have more hurricanes and tornadoes except for of course those predictions fell flat as well since we're having less of them not more of them. Uh.... oh well.. but but but we're going to have ones of Greater magnitude! Except for a course on average the magnitude has been significantly less the last several years with plenty of carbon dioxide in the air to swirl around.

Now we are inundated with safer, unprovable claims such as precipitation patterns being disrupted.

No shit. It's called flooding or a drought. disruption of precipitation patterns have occurred throughout all history and all history predates human history and will continue to happen after there are no longer humans on this planet.

Of the top 15 seasons with the most named storms 11 of them have happened in the past 20 seasons. How exactly does that amount to fewer storms?

Just general observation... the birds have totally changed where we live in the past 30 years. Something is fucking going on.....

Let's remove ALL the "data" input by those who have money in the game and see what we have.

The oll companies FOUGHT to keep lead in their product. They don't give a SHIT about people. Nor should they. They are a corporation. Not American. Not a person. They are a soulless slave to their stockholders beholden only to short term money.

And yes.. the scientist involved do have money in the game.. but in comparison??

Get your head out of your ass......

Get the corporate money OUT of our politics. They aren't AMERICANS!

Climate is always changing. Always has. There's no way to prevent climate change.
Determine the cause, strive to minimize it, and reduce its impact. Simple stuff that you would already do if it was only happening over your acre.

This too

It Only Took Us 20 Years To Destroy 10 Percent Of Earth's Wilderness

Twenty years is just a tiny drop in the bucket when it comes to the human race's existence here on Earth.

But in that short time, we've managed to destroy nearly 10 percent of the world's wilderness.

According to a new study out Thursday, since the 1990s, there have been "catastrophic declines" in wilderness areas that add up to a staggering 1.27 million square miles.

To put things into perspective, that's an area roughly twice the size of Alaska and more than four times the size of Texas.

There are many causes of climate change, most of which are beyond our control. I'm not worried about things that are beyond our control.

The best thing we could do to help the environment of the planet is stop population growth. But we won't. Too stupid, apparently.

OK, so let's get busy doing the second-best thing we can do.

Shit, why is that so hard for people to understand?

Disgustipated's link is interesting.
The paper says that international climate agreements like the Paris one in Dec 2015 have neglected forests and wilderness areas.
