Cars > Guns

Agreed. I'm in middle TN. Respect and fear are seemingly used interchangeably by the lefties on this board. They are 2 vastly different things in the real world. But, again, thier ignorance of the difference and thier defaulting to a fear reaction is entertaining enough to make me realize they are better off that way.
Harrison sensei used to say that fear and respect are ducks that waddle and quack the same and he didn't;t care which kind of duck you were when he was around...

Too many live this way. Sad but true.
It does not sound like much fun, but it takes some experience and reflection to see why this is true. Then again, most people eat the soy food from fast food joints so I dunno how much "thinking" and "gut instinct" happen in these end days of modernity.

Good. Electric cars are still cars with all the social costs and dangers they entail. There should be no public money spent to build electric car infrastructure.

Without a highway infrastructure built and maintained by public money, the food you buy at your local supermarket will not exist.

You have this dream of nirvana where there is no private transportation but when called on it you instantly default to nonsense about that only applying inside cities and that rural areas can have cars/trucks/roads.

Except you would deny them public funds for that.

Basically your idea is unworkable because it's nonsense. There must be public infrastructure in the form of roads and highways between where goods are made and where goods are needed. The better those roads and highways are, more better quality and affordable goods will be available.

Or do you think that iPhone you use to call Door Dash got here on the back of a mule following a footpath through the mountains before it swam across the sea to your door?

Mainly because unions trashed the train system, which is now as relevant as buggy-whip makers.

Nonsense. Bashing and blaming Unions is so 1980's Ronald Fucking Reagan. Unions were and still are necessary because politicians, owners and bosses, as well as the average non-Union employee, would just love to see all workers on food stamps like WalMart employees.

Bosses pay what the market affords and reward exceptional performers. Unions are for the mediocre workers and make the rest of us pay for their incompetence.

Clubs, hammers, fists, teeth, there's nothing that cannot be first construed as a weapon...
AJ, your ability to fight with "clubs, hammers, fists or teeth" is greatly diminished by your being confined to a hoverround mobile scooter.

Even a diabetic dullard like you though can wreak havoc with a semi-automatic weapon. Granted, most of the casualties would be innocent bystanders, but as a glaucoma glibertarian, you're more than willing to crack a few innocent eggs to make your infernal omlettes.

Decriminalize weed. It's great for glaucoma. You can even see shit you never saw before!

It wasn't the unions wanting a living wage for the workers that trashed railroads, but shareholders sucking up all the profits out of a dwindling marketplace that needed greater investment to compete.

Which shows 100% ignorance on your part. I have been a member of 4 different Unions. Believe it or not the contract not only protects workers from unjust activities it protects the employer if they are smart enough to follow the procedures spelled out for discipline and termination. Most often managements problem with Unions and contracts is they are either too lazy or too stupid to know the contract as well as the Union leadership does. I have seen horseshit Union members be fired, suspended without pay, or otherwise disciplined, per the contract because those bosses I had knew how to play the game. I have no sympathy for worthless employees getting disciplined or fired, but by the same token it is managements job to educate themselves as to what the contract says and how to use it to discipline their workers. If they aren't that smart I have no sympathy for them either.

The government shouldn’t be building charging stations for electric cars.

And raises costs to the consumers, thus all the work goes to China. Good thinking. I have seen unions in action and they are parasites.

Yeah, and I have heard guys like you my whole working life too. Go sit with your fellow scabs and benefit from the Union wages paid around you that your employer has to pay to get good workers.
