Happy Saturday !

T4T always a delight to see you. Glad things are well with you and the wee one. I think investor being the smart man he is should find you in those mountains ♥️

My large furniture and my vehicle will be moved Sept 7 thereabouts. It’s gojng to take me all of September to get everything moved. Fingers crossed that I’m full time in Bismarck by October. My sweetie has worked so hard getting everything organized there. I mailed him a huge care package yesterday filled with his fave snacks, gift cards, letters I’ve written and a couple of cards. I also had my dad to make him this awesome cigar case which is engraved with his last name. I miss him so much. Two more weeks to wait for more hugs and kisses 😘 How are things with you all ??

Not much of a weekend for me. Still far enough from 100% that I stayed in. Not a nice day anyway. Hope the rest of you can enjoy it.

Sending hugs to the Bistro 🤗

My work weekend was insanely busy and hectic. I crashed last night amidst a pool of tears. Emotions caught up with me I think. I had talked to my sweetie and managed to not cry. He knew something was up and called me back. The floodgates opened and I just poured my heart out. Work is so demanding. I’m aching from packing and moving and I just miss his arms around me. He is everything I dreamed about and more. So anyway complete turnaround. I woke up this morning giddy. Today was his first official day at U of Mary. When he called me just a bit ago he sounded so happy. My heart soared. In a couple of weeks he wants to introduce me to his office ❤️❤️❤️💋
So what’s up with you guys ? BrettJ how are you doing ??

I have been better. Yesterday wasn't good, full of pain and sickness. Better today.

Just think of the good times ahead NRSE and you will get through most of it.

Good Morning Brett -Sassy and whoever stops in wishing you all a half decent Day specially you Brett !

Ling, BrettJ and NRSE good morning. I'm enjoying a quiet cup of coffee now that wee one is to school. Hope our Host is feeling better. NRSE hang in there. It's good to see how much you love that guy. BretJ is right make it through the next few weeks and you can settle into wonderful.

Hello to all. It hasn't started as a good day. Supposed to have a final procedure done Friday and have NO way to get there. Bugger ...

In a crappy mood already.

BrettJ that’s not good. Not good at all.
Not much new with me. Packing and preparing to move. Spoke with my sweetheart a couple of times today. We FaceTime once he is home. Crazy hot here today. I’m ready for fall.

The only option NRSE might be a taxi both ways which would be a few hundred dollars. My mom would have to go as well because the taxi service would not be legally responsible.

Not my favorite day today folks.

Making a quick Stop to say Hi to Brett and all the Visitors hope today is one of the better Days ;)

Made it to Hamilton for the procedure which went well enough. Now hope my appetite eventually returns. I cancelled almost all my Labor Day weekend plans because I am not steady enough yet.

Some days I just want to despair. I am not even 60 yet. I would never have believed this is how my life would end up.

Hope all enjoy the long weekend. I have some alternate plans that I should enjoy.

BrettJ all I can really say is how I hate this. How I’m sending positive thoughts your way. How happy I am to have you my friend. Get better soon. That’s my wish. Happy Labor Say to those who celebrate. Hadn’t been the best one for me. I worked the weekend and it was so busy. Mostly staffing issues and attitudes from staff who wanted to sit and not work. Not much I can really say about today right now. I just want to go to bed ...

Hello to all and NRSE.

I have enjoyed most of the weekend with some restrictions. Visited with an old, out of town friend today. Only thing I did not do (my choice) was drink alcohol as I wasn't sure if I could / should. Went well enough.

In a fair bit of pain now, off and on. My pain pump got disconnected on Saturday and the nurse doesn't come until tomorrow. I decided to wait which in hindsight was a bad decision. The Tylenol isn't strong enough but I should say I wasn't completely aware how sick I've been or how much the Morphine is keeping the pain away. I now wonder if this is a "for life" situation. I hope not, but ...

Sorry for your weekend NRSE. I have experienced many of those myself.

A blog I follow commented on how the blogger hates Labor Day weekend because it still reminds him summer is over and then, it was back to school. I sort of concur. Anyone else feel the same?

Hope all are ready for the next few days.

My weekend was reasonably okay but ended last night with a trip to the hospital. The pain got to be too much and I needed to deal with it. They gave me two shots, one for pain and another for nausea. I was feeling better in 10 minutes. They also reconnected the pump.

This morning the nurse texted me and told me I am to call her if that happens again. I didn't want her to have to comevat 2 AM but she set me straight.

HORRIBLE day.

After the nurse left this morning, I got sick again. Almost as sick as July 4th, which landed me in the hospital / ICU for 12 days. This time there were no visible clues (I now know what to look for) that indicated a return trip to the hospital was needed. But man, I am EMPTY in my stomach. Going to try a bit of sherbet in a bit as it often settles my stomach. Also will help with hydration.

Not in as much pain as I was, but still SOME pain. Last week I had minimal pain and now ...? It makes little sense. They are talking now about possible drastic measures.

Crap.

SO sick of this.

Popping in for a hello. BrettJ that's just heart wrenching. I too continue to send good thoughts and support your way. Goodness please may you get better soon. I know you must be tiring. I'm doing OK. I've been birthday shopping for the wee ones birthday and mountain get away. Maybe if I do see investor he can lick the frosting on my cake ! 👍👍🙌

Hello T4T - all that I going through is gut-wrenching - literally AND figuratively.

Now they are talking feeding tube. To me, in my mind, that is the beginning of the end. NO dammit, not yet! I want to be able to eat! If I can't eat, then my quality of life is shot. Not ready for that yet.

I go to a lunch once a month and coincidentally, it is just across the street. I decided to try and go. By 11:45, I knew I wouldn't be eating. Even a cup of tea was difficult.

Here I am, sitting there watching everyone eat. An odd experience, as the aromas alternated between making me hungry and making me sick. Even the brief walk there and back, being UP for 2 hours, it just did me in. I came home and slept until just now.

So, I ask, "what quality of life?"

I meet with ONE of my MANY doctors tomorrow and I hope she can offer up some encouragement.

I would venture to say that in this past 18 months I've met with or met more medical personnel than I have all the previous years combined. Only because I had some serious issues as a kid might that number be higher.

Oh yeah, lest I forget - thanks for free health care. Without it, I would be dead right now. Literally DEAD. Anyone wants to see how far off the mark old-crater-face-McPresident is, come live here. Walk a mile in my shoes. My meds alone would make me destitute. I am of a generation that grew up with NO health care to speak of. My parents' benefits covered most of my-then meds (only one) and I still wonder if that might be the reason we didn't travel much.

Yes, to pay for this your taxes likely will go up. But it is equally likely a short hospital stay would recoup all you paid into the system. Imagine how much someone like me has saved. Even the few things I have had to buy, like my anti-nausea meds, that is a chunk out of my income.

So yeah, I am preaching a bit.

No more medical stuff today. Hope all of you are well.

BrettJ in Canada

OMG 4 Days without Food - they better hook you up and give you some Intervenous and dont let you go Home until U show some improvements ~ take care!

BrettJ 😢😢. Your story sure makes me feel more thankful for food and the ability to eat. I can’t imagine being hungry but unable to eat. Or worse the nausea. Hugs to you my friend.

Guys I’m reunited with my fiancé ! I picked him up at Charlotte Metro and we are off on a road trip for the weekend. He is helping drive my SUV the long distance to Bismarck. Traffic has been at a snails pace but who cares. I’m in good company. Hope you all have a good weekend. Especially BrettJ !! Temps still crazy hot in the Carolinas. Which I’m saying goodbye to !!

Guys we are safe and sound in Mandan, ND. It feels almost surreal ! Good timing too whatvwith Hurricane Florence setting her sights on the Carolinas. My prayers to all my Carolina neighbors. How are you all doing ?

Hello to all. Sorry for the lack of communication but was housebound and mostly bedridden all last week. Now, after being sick several times, I am back in hospital after being sick with blood. Nearly a week since I have had a meal.

NRSE, very happy for your news.

I will keep you all in the loop as best I can.
