(((Investor)))). I was advised to get true winter wear I need to buy it where it’s cold or order online from reputable companies. My pink girly jackets won’t cut it . I really should begin shopping soon for a suitable wardrobe. How are things with you and how are the pups ? We are doing well busy busy is the new norm. Michael only has about four weeks until he will be back to teaching. It’s just going by too fast ! Most of his things are packed. The movers will be here August 3rd. We are going to Denver to solidify wedding plans with the church and the Archbishop. A quick trip to the mountains. Then home to get me packed. As I said , busy !! Pray BrettJ is better day by day.

Hello NRSE and everyone.

My recovery goes slow. The appetite is almost 100% gone. I want nothing. I am almost forcing myself to eat and I am a former large man and "foodie". I now weigh 184 at 6'2" in height.

Tomorrow they will be hooking me to a pain patch, so I will be able to get a dose of morphine as needed. 1 per hour and yes, the pain has been that bad at times. Eating now involves pain most of the time.

Weather here is currently in the low 70's. Bad during the day but nights are fine.

Oh, and I have home Internet for another week or so.

You are possibly a stone below optimum, perhaps high protein drinks, as used by body builders, will keep you where you are at and possibly put a bit more "meat" on you.

Morphine sounds like "bad" news to me, many years ago I was in a similar predicament and was fed morphine and laughing gas willy-nilly, it took me nearly 24 months to stop craving for the stuff.

Here in England we've been in the high 70s, low eighties for nearly 2 months, and yesterday, after a week of high 80s low 90s, we had the very first rain, in the shape of a violent thunderstorm, after 55 days of constant sunshine.

The morphine is necessary as eating is now becoming painful on a daily basis. Despite all the meds I take, I don't seem to have an addictive personality. I take when needed and only then.

We had a cooler than norm July. Not cool still in the 90’s but not 105 for days on end. August might be brutal. In any case fall will be here soon. By October I will probably running off endorphins. I’m going to be a married lady in three months !!!!
BtettJ that’s a great idea about protein drinks. If you can get it there I suggest Med-pass 2.0. I know you can order it from amazon. Protein and vitamin supplement that doesn’t taste nasty. Given your current condition I’m guessing you do need the morphine

I HATE this thing already and I'm supposed to carry it around ALL THE TIME? It catches on things, is bigger than I thought and going to be annoying, I can tell. Oh well, one day at a time.

Hot-ish here today, but I keep the fans in the bedroom. so that explains it out here in the new "office".

Not much else to tell. Adjusting to new circumstances, I guess.

Tuesday hugs for everyone. Ling and BrettJ !! You both stay cool. Rainy here and only going to be about 84 which is mild for my area. Michael left this morning with his parents driving to North Dakota. They flew out to help him transport one of his vehicles. The movers packed up all of his things. Today is the last day I can spend in this house. Tomorrow a new family gets his set of keys. I tried to not be too weepy as they drove out of sight but the tears flowed. Now they are a torrential downpour. I won’t see him again for about 4 weeks. Our long conversations and endless string of text will be far less as he has so much to do. He has to get settled into what will be our new home. Start his new teaching position at the university. Oh my gosh so bittersweet. We talked last night for hours. He read to me my favorite poems. Yeats “ the stolen child “. Oh how I love his voice. He told me how strong I am. How he admires me. How I’m going to be just fine that he is the one who will be a hopeless mess without me. He told me that I am his epic romance. His passion. His forever love. Last night was wonderful. I’m just bawling my eyes out with bittersweet tears. I’m so proud of him. I can’t wait to have his last name. True love is far more than I ever imagined. Sorry to ramble on so. It’s going to be a very long four weeks.

Hello Brett hope your feeling better now that your Home ~have you tried Protein Drinks? I tried Boost and Ensure -I liked Wildberrie Ensure the best

I HATED those drinks. The aftertaste made me gag.

Happy for you NRSE and I didn't get a lot of sleep either. The pain machine got disconnected by accident although I wasn't really tired.

Hey all, a quick appearance from me before bed - or trying to, anyway.

I hope no one will object if I post a new story or two shortly? Been trying to get some writing done.

Spent a bit of time texting my co-hostess yesterday. I won't reveal any confidences, but glad she is so happy.

Yesterday was an odd day for me. Until about 4 PM, I was fine. Then the pain came back - boy, did it ever. So much, in fact, they are sending another nurse (no relation, LOL) to check how much medication I used. The pain would go away - but only for a bit, then back it came. Hurt like hell.

Wish me luck as I try to complete a pile of material for tomorrow.
