Heading to bed in a few. I have a busy day ahead. But wanted to share a story before I crash.

I occasionally use LIT chat, I even used to be a CM there. After a bad experience, I took some time away. When I went back, things had changed. So, I left again and only returned this past week.

What I always found - odd - was that I almost never ran into a reader. In the old days, I didn't use BrettJ (couldn't) but my link always led to my writer's profile. I know - with some degree of vanity - that I am popular, so it puzzled me.

Last night, almost from the instant I got on, I received a very nice PM from a young lady in Texas. I get the impression she is a fairly new reader. However, she did seem to know some of my stuff.

Why I am mentioning this here - aside from being flattered - is she gave me an idea for a story. Oddly, it was something that I should likely have written for December but I didn't want to wait. The story popped into my head, it filled her little fetishes and I've added some twists. I figured out a way to make it fit for now and hope to complete it later today.

Just mentioning this for those who wonder where and how writers get their ideas. When I tell people they'd be surprised, I really do mean it.

Oh sure, but the readers don't. I've started stories that have strayed far from the original concept. A few have even become new series, one just recently did that.

Stopping by to say hello to everyone. Feels odd to only have a few hours work each week. Soooo much planned to accomplish but I seem to be procrastinating. I want to finish my fall decorating. And I have a huge tote of old photos stashed in a closet. I've been thinking about the memories in that tote. I want to hunt it out and show my Grandson me as a young girl. He can't believe I was ever his age. The nicest thing so far is spending more time with my best friend. She is a retired Teacher. She had the time but I didn't. Now we both do and I'm enjoying it. I hope Investor is having a nice vacation.

Yeah, I passed 23 thousand this time before I noticed the change. I've been on LIT for well over a decade now.

Eventually you will find your post-retirement routine. Not only that - why should you do all of the work? There are supposed to be two people in a marriage, although we're all aware of your situation. Handle the stuff that is a priority to you and your grandson.

Sometimes I feel condemned for being here... I have the opportunity and offers. But I don't believe in sex outside of a committed relationship.

I can relate, SSN. I grew up in a household where commitment was strongly emphasized.

From my early teens on, Mom would say, "Son, any girl who wants you should be committed...!" So I always looked for that.

Granted, it did tend to shrink the dating pool at times.

But I finished the story the fan put in my head - with some twists and turns and a chance of adding to it if my readers like it. I seem to be getting some split voters lately, although I am sure some are trolls.

As long as I am happy with it and the person I wrote it for enjoys it, should be fine. Plus it is long enough I can make two stories for work out of it.

I had a coffee just a few minutes ago - to borrow an expression from LING - eek! It was awful. Don't know what I did wrong.

Looks nice outside here T4T, I will find out later. The pain is now manageable and I will grab a nap. I got some of the editing done and will take my laptop with me for the next little while so I can get a lot of writing done for Wednesday.

Rocky start to my day. One of those ughh can't I just crawl back to bed days. My coffee was interrupted. I'm feeling the financial pinch of missing work. I think I'm very good at budgeting my money but still it's tough sometimes. And frustrating. Its all good with those apples of RJ's none of us will go hungry. I can taste the apple pie from here. Our mornings start with a lite chill in the air but 50f is still very nice. The evenings have been in the mid 70'3 so still nothing to complain about yet. My kind of temps. I know the boys would like it to drop another 10 or so degrees to help with the running.

Hello again all. Nice to see so many of you.

I tried sleeping but I'm a bit itchy. I am starting to be fairly certain it is a side-effect of the pain med OR from the nerve damage. Also, my brain is over active. Might as well get up and do a bit more writing. I have hours before I have to be anywhere.

NRSE, the constant pain is something I will have to learn to live with. This is the first major flare-up in a few weeks, but it does make writing a bit of a chore. Not much I can do, sad to say.

Usually the apples will cook down and be watery. Not this time. The sauce cooked down a little past half and is thick. Splenda doesn't thicken apples like sugar will: have to wait until it's been refrigerated. Not this time. It had the viscosity of oatmeal. LOL
