Officially we received 20.5 inches at the weather station up the hill from me. That's a metric shit ton for a 24 hour period.

Hugs to BrettJ. I've plenty to share.
Saturday was fun. We did get to play in the snow. But wee one shared something with me that has me troubled. Not concerning him per say. He was telling me about some testing. The students who did really well got to enjoy a pizza party. The students who did average or poorly got only goldfish crackers. He told me he had two slices of pizza so he offered a slice to a friend with only crackers. He was told he couldn't do this as that student had not reached his goals. So my wee one said he just didn't eat his pizza either. I'm proud of his sweet gentle heart for that. First off I feel test scores should be a bit more private. All kids aren't the A team All-stars. They are still wonderful and worthy and should all be treated the same. Secondly to think of a child having to watch others eat pizza when all you had was crackers. What if that child worked equally as hard and did their best ? I don't know. It just bothered me.

I hope everyone is doing fine. It's cold here tonight. Farmers are very worried about the peach and apple orchards

Your kid has the heart many others should have. You should be proud.

We had a WInter Weather Warning for this morning and afternoon, ice and sleet were to come...

Five minutes of sleet, followed by twenty minutes of very light snow.

Not off to a great start. Was in the hospital for several hours earlier, but feeling better now. This has been a hell of a start to a year.

Still under normal conditions, but improving. Sadly, the weather has NOT. Winter, which was mild for the most part, hit us with a whammy for March. Supposedly we will see nice weather starting tomorrow. Hoping to have some good news for my friends soon - hope all are well. Hey, now that I think about it - where is my co-hostess as of late? Been a long while since NRSE posted.

Now that I think to ask, has anyone got a way to contact the site's owners? I tried to PM Laurel a while back, but got no answer. A number of my stories have been deleted and I'd like to know why. They didn't violate any rules I know of and I am the original author of all my works. Wonder what gives?

Howdy Bistro guys and gals !

I'm home from vacation. Visited Washington, DC. Then my wee one did the space camp experience in Huntsville,AL. I needed the break. Work has been a biotch. I'm earnestly thinking about 100% retirement. I have 30 years as a nurse and 3 as a CNA under my belt. Perhaps it's time.
