Sorry, I'm on the other side of the pond. The Chief's game finished at about midnight.

phaedre: "somewhere on the edge of reason" isn't particularly illuminating WRT your time zone. :>

I'm being creatively obscure. <g>

Hmmmm.... baseball or football, you ask. Seeing as baseball officially ended last night (though apparently some deranged teams will continue to play the game in mockery of all reason), and as I don't really care for football, I'm led to ask, "When does curling season begin?"

I'm ashamed of myself. I can't believe I voted for football.

Yank, when my daughter was in college, the backyard of the house she lived in always flooded. When it froze over, they made a curling ...court?...field?... not sure of the terminology. She and her teammates had a fabulous time curliing. Of course, they didn't have clue of the rules or anything. Minor details.

I think that my daughter may be into curling too, though she must play a version of it that uses something like golf clubs. She keeps talking about how much she likes her new curling iron.

 I'm surrounded by comedians.

I'm embarrassed to say, it took me a minute to get that. Pitiful.

SJ: 28 points off of turnovers.

28.

4 turnovers, all of which were converted for TDs.

it's a damned good thing they have a bye next week. sure they had a 17 point spurt, and sure that 4th TD shouldn't have counted, but still: if you turn the ball over that many damned times, you deserve to look exactly as badly as you do.

Aye, SW, 28 points off of turnovers. The hubby and I were watching the game and I told him you were probably cringing over that one.

i cannot imagine any news that would make me more despondent re: their chances.

what was the final in the jets/colts? i missed it, we went on a liquor run.

but now i have cider (which is in the process of being mulled) and soco. :D

I think the look on P. Manning's face was priceless after he worked so hard to get them ahead and the Jet's ran back for a touch down on the following kick.

I mean no timeouts with 4 minutes left and he burns them down the field only to have the Jets score in less than 20 seconds.

But yeah, that last play was very entertaining.
