My Grandpa teaching me to camp and fish (cane pole and cork style). Because he is no longer with us, and our conversations of his life experience and philosophy are a big part of me today. (sob)

It took generations to construct our current conceptions of race. The work of deconstructing has already begun, but will likely take generations more, and if it does happen, it won't be smooth, but will be in fits and starts.

I was also an exchange student in Germany (25 years ago). While we were there we visited a place in Potsdam called "Kartoffelpub" where they had dozens, if not hundreds, of different potato dishes. If I could re-create that in a happy hour scenario, I'd be a happy man.
