(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration , however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense.

I know nothing about the military. But now I know what UCMJ is, too. It was best for me to look it up myself. THat way I get the full, unadulterated infomation rather than having it filtered by someone else. I can cross reference and add my own filters.

It's the "need to know too much information" in me.

The President, in the MCM, has defined "sodomy" to
mean oral or anal sex. The MCM has set the maximum
punishment as dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay
and allowances, and imprisonment for 5 years.

In practice, Article 125 has been used by the military
to prosecute nonconsensual heterosexual sodomy or
heterosexual sodomy with other aggravating circumstances
(e.g., with a minor). By contrast, Article 125 has been used
to prosecute consensual homosexual sodomy between
adults.
