I do the same thing. I do it when I get a pm from someone I don’t know too. I like to get a little insight into who they are so I read the bio and then check out their latest posts. It helps me know if I want to PM them back or not.I’ve often wondered what constitutes staking (on Lit). I know in real life it’s when the police get involved.
When I see someone I don’t know say something interesting, the first thing I do is click on their profile and read what they say about themselves, and who they associate with, and what threads they have made so i can get a feel of who the person is.

But I don’t consider that stalking. I think stalking is when you go where they go or try to post near them or follow all of someone’s posts to see or know what they are doing or where they are. That is not my thing. If we organically are in the same spot or post in similar threads cool-we may enjoy the same things.

Sometimes I look at people's posts to get a sense of who they are. Sometimes I get bored and want to see what my friend have been doing. Id call all of that "stalking" with a wink.
But I think you can also seriously stalk people online. Try to figure out their identity. Harass people who don't want contact. Being creepy like that can happen on Lit.
