Pretty much all I watch is anime, so I figured I'd start a thread where I can geek out over it.

My favorites:

Kill La Kill
Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken
Little Witch Academia
Hozuki No Reitetsu
Dropkick On My Devil
Spy x Family
FLCL
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Neon Genesis Evangelion

Movies:
Ghost in the Shell
Akira
Porco Rosso
Pom Poko

Started out with Dragon Ball Z, as most young men did back then.

Wasn't until I got older that I started to explore other anime. It truly is an extensive art form. I am one to truly believe there is an anime for everyone.

Sometimes, the hentai is also an amazing story teller, though finding those is finding a gray needle in a stack of silver needles.

More of my favorites:
Kill la Kill
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
7 Deadly Sin
Baki
Attack on Titan
And most recently: One Piece!
My daughter got me into Attack on Titan. One Punch Man was good too. I have a very limited palate for Anime, especially when she tried to get me watching the 10 bazillion episodes of One Piece.. That one, I just can't stomach...

I noped out of Full Metal Alchemist right after THAT episode. You know which one I'm talking about.

I've seen most of Dragon Ball, including Z, and Super. Vegeta is the best!

Recently I decided I should try to watch all of One Piece. I made it up to Big Mom before I got bogged down and gave it up to watch all up Lupin III instead.

I'm insane.

Been a long time anime watcher. Here's some top picks:

Older stuff:
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Patlabor
Macross Plus
Vampire Hunter D
Records of Lodoss War

Newer Stuff:
One Punch Man
Chainsaw Man
Haven't You Heard, I'm Sakamoto!
The Disastorous Life of Saiki K
Bloom Into You
Cowboy Bebop almost made my favorites list. I should go back and rewatch it along with Samurai Champloo.

If you like One Punch Man, how about, Mob Psycho 100? Similar vibe.
Chainsaw Man I tried to like but it was too grimdark. But I did love the chainsaw pug!
Sakamoto was charming.

I started Mob Psycho 100, but fell off. Didn't dislike it, but just didn't grab me right away. Same with My Hero Academia. I made it thru a season and a half before I lost interest. I tend to like series that have a definitive arc and don't just go on and on. Like the biggest offender, One Piece....

Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood is worth sticking with. There's some rough episodes, but the overall story is great.

I saw two Ghibli movies: Fireflies and Princess Mononoko. I may eventually watch more. I haven't watched any cartoons in a few years, but I have one video of two women masturbating while watching hentai.

I remember watching old episodes of Sailor Moon and DBZ when starting to get into anime. I then got to work in a video store and got to find a lot more of it as well as discovering manga.

The only thing I liked about My Hero Academia was All Might. And Froppy! I thought everyone else was forgettable.

That episode scarred me for absolute life, but that episode is why I finished it! I just had to see how it ended!

Vegeta is the best, a man amongst men.

You're brave for going that far into One Piece, I almost gave up until Luffy fought Katakuri. Then I was hooked hahah

How is Lupin III? Ive got that on my list too, but my list is stupid long 😵‍💫

Well, if you're insane, I'm insane too. We can live in solace knowing we are kindred spirits 😌
Lupin is gloriously crappy! Best episodes in the first 150:

Lupin fights the vampire twin sister of Jesus Christ

Lupin fights a Holocaust survivor hypnotist who plans to incinerate a stadium filled with elderly Nazis by blowing up a giant Zeppelin that looks like Satan

He also teams up with kid Columbo

My Hero Academia
Jujutsu Kaisen
Fairy Tail
The Great Pretender
Naruto
Akudama Drive
Soul Eater
Fire Force

The list goes on. These are some of my favorites

I know that the Castlevania series on Netflix, ISN'T anime per se, but it is animation so you'll forgive me for mentioning it here.

What did everyone think of it? I just re-watched it in preparation for the upcoming sequel, Castlevania: Nocturne, coming in late September. I can't say how much I enjoyed it. The writing was just brilliant. There were some awesome moments of introspection between characters that it felt really poignant. The animation was superb, the voice-overs were perfect. I'm beyond impressed. The sequel has a lot to live up to.

Dragon Ball Z was the big one that got me into anime. However since then I've found a love for series such as Berserk, Now and Then, Here and There, Vampire Princess Miyu ect. Recently I've been watching Bastard and Dragon Quest Dai.

As for movies, I have a soft spot for the really graphic and violent OVA's of the 90's such as Biohunter or Twilight of the Dark Master. Of course who could forget Wicked City and Perfect Blue

Technically, my first anime was Voltron: Defender of the Universe since it was an English edit and dub of Beast King GoLion.

In regards to anime art style these cartoons of the 80s got me hooked: Thundercats, Silverhawks, The Real Ghostbusters. But in terms of true anime coming over from Japan and being dubbed or subtitled, I am a big Gundam fan. Gundam Wing being the first that drew me into the franchise followed by the original series then G Gundam. I also loved the Zoids franchise. My wife was big on InuYasha.

What do you think of The Witch From Mercury?

I went into it not knowing anything about Gundam. I probably would have been less confused if I’d been a fan. It was really pretty though and the characters were great!

I have not had the opportunity to watch Witch of Mercury yet.

I know Netflix has the subtitled original Mobile Suit Gundam movies (episodes from the original series cut down and spliced together into a more tight storyline). I would recommend watching both of these, especially the original as most of the follow up shows and movies are based on that time line.

Gundam Wing (which is on Hulu) is a spiritual successor in that it takes place in its own timeline separate from the original series but retains many of the philosophical points of war, revolution, and freedom that the Gundam franchise is known for.
