An Open Letter to the Ladies of Lit

I've found everyone needs to hear things like this from time to time... young and old.

I like the Thich Nhat Hanh quote. One of the lessons he shares is about being the best you.. About learning to appreciate that journey. I love it.

Also his.. Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet

I do not agree with all of his philosophy, but he has some important things to say.

For instance there is a serious error in this:

No one can make you suffer. That is a choice only you can make. Others can hurt your body. They can take things from you. They can do things to you that you do not want them to do. But only you can choose to suffer.

Still...

Those that lash out at others often are suffering and are in need of help. I would quibble and say that many times you cannot help them because it is not your help that they need. But it is praiseworthy to try anyway. To be meek, a peacemaker, gentle, and kind, to walk with others, to share what you have as you can, to forgive, these things spring from love.

I believe we share what we understand and have in our hearts. I believe we are given these things. I love because I have been loved.
