Alphas ~ Feral fire~ {closed}

Cameron looked up from his empty plate of food.

"I can stay here, in my office. I'll be out of Eden's way, but I can be here if I'm needed. I was thinking about doing that anyways. I don't think any of us should be alone right now. Bill has his family, Gary has his mom. Nina and Rachel have their place. Doc, maybe you should look into being around someone too."

Cameron ran his hand through his hair, leaning back in his seat. Rosen looked to Cameron, then to Eden.

"With that, its been a long day. Bill and Cameron, thank you for preparing the wonderful meal. Eden, when you see them next please thank the ferals for saving our lives and for trading the venison with you."

Eden looked around with a snarl but she said the worry in Gary and Rachel's eyes and shrugged.

Rosen... Gary and his mother.

Gary nodded Mom already said yes I text her said Dr Rosen sick and we are he will not stay alone. I also told her that you and Cameron were helping make sure he came over.

Gary had that smile like he had just won some great battle and in his mind he had Dr Rosen would be safe and Eden had no choice but to visit his mom making both of them happy and making time for a visit.

Cameron smiled, as always Gary knew just the right time to say the right things and surprise them.

"That sounds like a plan then. How about we pack things up here and get over to Gary's place."

Standing up Cameron started to clean up the garbage, while Rosen went back to the offices and got his things together to call it a night here. Gary was with him, getting his things as well, making sure he had direct video feeds throughout the offices and surrounding areas so he could keep an eye on the team.

Bill walked up to Cameron, helping him clean up.

"You have my cell if anything happens. Thanks for volunteering to stay here. It's a load off my mind."

"No problem, just know I may raid your fridge for a water bottle or two."

Bill laughed and nodded.

Nina walked over to Eden.

If you need anything call me. Okay.

Eden looked to her and nodded but a brow was raised.

You still need to work on releasing the past Nina. I am not the enemy in any situation this team is facing internal or external. Remember that.

Nina nodded but quickly hurried to her office then her car to walk for Rachel.

Eden then walked to her office and then to wait for Everyone by the elevator.

Gary walker over and smiled.

Mom will send you back with food she wants to make sure you eat good and can't figure out how you did that out in the woods for so long.

Cameron walked to the elevator with Rosen, nodding to Gary and Eden.

"Lets get going then, time to take you home Gary."

As they headed down it was fairly quiet, Cameron tell that Gary was just happy to get his way, while Rosen was happy everyone was safe for now. Eden didn't seem entirely happy, and he was going to make sure to talk to her when they had a moment.

Arriving at Gary's house Eden seemed to lighten in mood as she accepted a hug from Gary's mom not that show would have had any choice. Standing there as she looked her over a skin if she had been eating well and staying safe and how she was glad that she was back and hoped she would stay. Gary managed to get a word in edgewise and got his mother to give her some breathing room telling her not to smoother his partner. She smiled to Eden but backed away apologizing for forgetting that she was not used to or comfortable with people being so close. Eden just nodded and smiled backing away a little and told her she would be staying at the office for a while at least for now. To which Gary quickly added that she soul be safe there because Cameron watch going to be staying there to keep an eye on her.

Cameron had gone with the rest into Garys house, saying hi to Garys mom before Eden stepped into the house. When Gary piped up that Cameron would be staying at the office his mom turned to him.

"Do you need any pillows or sheets? Im sure I have some extra."

"No ma'am, thats okay. I have some stuff at the office. Always prepared." Cameron smiled.

Garys mom nodded, and then she went back to chatting up Eden. It was obvious that she felt that she needed to make up for a mother figure in Eden's life, to which Cameron imagined it was due to her previous experiences with the team that made her so close to Gary.

Rosen, in the meantime, had set his stuff down in a corner.

"Thank you Sandra for opening your home to me while we sort through this situation. I know there is a lot of catching up to do with Eden still, but it is a bit late and we have had a rough day."

Garys mom smiled, nodding slightly in agreement. "I'm sorry for keeping you dear, you should look at getting some rest." She turned to Cameron. "Besides, I'm sure this young man would drive better if he weren't half dead to the world with sleep."

At that they were ushered, with some food, to the car. Cameron starting it up and waiting for Eden to hop in for the trip back to the office.

She was different around Gary's mom. Eden was genuinely calm and it seemed to stay as she got into the car.

So... sorry you got roped into crashing at the office. Can't be all that comfortable. I am used to it. Let me guess... wants you to make sure I don't kill Parrish.

"Heh, it's not terribly comfortable, but I made sure the couch was comfortable enough in case I needed to crash at the office some night. As for the plan, when Rosen said something that was the first I heard of it. It doesn't seem safe for any of us to be alone. I won't be in your way, I'll stay in my office. If you were going to kill Parrish you would have done it last night when you were alone here."

Cameron gave Eden a quick smile at a stop light before focusing back on the road.

"Its only been a couple of days, but I've gotten used to you being around. I hope you stick with the team a while longer."

With that Cameron kept driving towards the office.

I will stay as long as it is needed Cameron. Beyond that... I do not know. I don't trust Grimes and I know he does not trust my type of Alpha. It is different this time then before. There is possibly more than even Parrish know's about going on and that could prove far more dangerous.

She was a little restless in the car as it was rather close quarters to her and she could hear and smell any emotion or anything and that was seldom a good thing.

"It wouldn't surprise me if things have spiraled out of Parrish's control and he doesn't know it yet."

As they drove Cameron noticed Eden fidgeting in her seat. Surprisingly, to Cameron, it made her look cuter to him. Looking back onto the road he tried to keep focused on driving, but his thoughts wandered to Eden nonetheless. Cameron pulled up to the office, parking the car. After stepping out and locking up he headed into the building. Holding the elevator for Eden they made their way to the top, stepping out onto the floor of the teams offices. Locking up the doors as they walked in Cameron looked to Eden.

"If you need anything I wake fairly easily. I'm going to check the monitors to see that our guests are contained before trying to get some rest."

Cameron headed into Rosens office, looking over the security monitors and seeing that everything was just as it should be.

She took off roaming the floor trying to get comfortable.

That's fine Cameron. If anything happens just yell.

Cameron headed to his office, leaving the door ajar. Stretching out on the couch in his office he got comfortable shortly. Relaxing he let his mind wander over the proceedings of the last few days. There didn't seem to be a pattern coming to the surface, except for what was mentioned earlier about there likely being two groups they were fighting against. Laying there he stared at the ceiling, relaxed and drowsy but not falling asleep right off.

She finally calmed down sitting in the booth staring through the two way mirror at Parrish. Cameron was right... no matter how much she wanted to tear him to ribbons she didn't do it... but why? She wanted answers from him. He had hinted to having information that Binghamton and the rest of the more human alphas about her birth parents that they would kill to keep from her... that he would see the world turned alphas to keep the real truth from everyone. Humans both normal and alphas all knew just enough to make them dangerous.

Cameron woke up, having dozed off for about 30 minutes. Grumbling to himself he stood up. Sometimes sleep was hard to get, tonight would likely be one of those nights. Sitting up he walked over to his office refrigerator, pulling out a bottle of water. Taking a drink he took in the sounds around him, or apparent lack of them. Just the humming of electronics and the hvac system working. He knew he said he would keep to his office, but he couldn't help walking over to Rosens office to check the security cameras. Scrolling through them he saw that everything was quiet and in order. He noticed Eden sitting, staring at the mirror separating the room she was in and Parrish's cell. He wondered what she was thinking and if there was something he could do to help. However he felt that if Eden wanted help she would ask for it, figuring it would be turned down if offered to her directly. That said he felt he would whatever he could to help her with whatever. Silently he went back to his office, turning off the light and deciding to try and get some rest.

Eventually she walks out of the observation room and roars in frustration. Why could shake not just walk in there and rip him apart? Why did she not mind Cameron being around? What did she come back to this chaos and restrictions? Walking into her conference room "office" and began stalking and paCingular around the room not sure what to do.

Cameron jumps up out of slumber, hearing the roar. Moving quickly out of his room he heads towards the sound to see Eden pacing and clearly upset.

"Is everything okay? I heard you... roar... and I didn't know if we were being attacked or something."

Frustration thats all Cameron.

She hissed stalking around the hallway.

Why can I not simply not rend him to pieces?

Cameron walked to the doorway as Eden paced the hallway. She seemed to be talking to herself, but she mumbled loud enough for him to hear.

"Maybe you don't see the point in killing him. Maybe there is something about all this craziness that makes you think he is hiding something we need to know. For all we know there may be an Alpha that somehow planted a command in your subconscious in order to stop you from killing him."

Cameron moved slightly in the doorway watching her reaction.

Ferals are immune to suggestion but... he does know things... and he is willing to turn the whole world into alphas to protect it.

She paused and looked at Cameron with a sigh. She walked over closer.

He has always claimed to know what really happened to orphan so many alphas long ago like me and that is a driving reason to make the whole world alphas so the're will be no reason for orphans and homelessness.

"Parrish may know what happened. He's been around long enough for that to be true. For all we know he could have caused whatever happened." Cameron sighed, thinking. "If that is something you want to know the answer to I will help you in whatever way I can. Hopefully we can keep Parrish from pulling off his grand scheme in the process."

Cameron stood up, moving towards Eden keeping eye contact with her. He held out his hand, a gesture of cooperation.

He kept eye contact... she was not sure what to make of that. Her eyes always seemed to unnerve even Rosen at rimes when she was more animal than human.

Dragging answers out of him is key... but how do you scare the answers out of someone who is nearly immortal.

Her head tilted at his offered hand but reached her hand out as well to his.

Cameron shook her hand, smiling.

"I may not know how to scare the answers out of him, but we'll figure out a way to get the answers, with or without him."

Cameron felt like giving her a hug, reassuring her. Hell, he felt like doing more, but he suppressed those thoughts.

Scent never lied as she faintly sniffed at the air a brow lifted briefly her head tilting slightly as she watched him.

Is there something on your mind Cameron?

Cameron blushed slightly, looking away.

"Umm, its nothing. I just. I'm tired." He looked back to her "Yeah, tired. I'm going to try and get some rest now. We can work on looking for answers in the morning, alright?"

Cameron knew damn well what he was feeling, but he barely knew Eden. It had just been a while since he had been with anyone, and he was sure that was the reason.
