dreaded *d* word...

In simplicity, if such is the case
I fear not that word, there's no loss of face
since I, being one of those lucky and few
gain not one more ounce eating chicken perdue

A feast or a snack, it matters little to me
I step on the scale - the same thing I see
so wether time prove this a blessing or curse
food I'll adore, from birth to the hearse

And though I attest to know what I eat
cholesterol, fat, spicy or sweet
These facts in no way deter me from those
foods I adore I will always propose

as the best for my health and the best for my mind
and continue to eat till no more I can find.

I hate it when that happens...

I got dc'd before I posted the above.

seems not al cfelines are alike , when it comes to watching their ,cough> diet
I do agree with you, phat, eating well is a riot
but as we <cough> age
we may need to turn a new page
for what once we adore
although it does not become a bore
might make us too wide to fit through the door
or harden our arteries
if we frequent bad eateries
so, sexercises is best
more fun than the rest:devil:

As we get older...

Most people go flabby, tummy goes south,
along with the rest, hmm-mmm to the mouth

Yet there are those people, a few like myself
who fit into jeans with the ease of an elf
from year to year, thanks to my genes
whatever I do, no matter what means

I use to gain weight, I can't make it stick
Like water off duck, car on oil slick,
I sometimes wish I could put on some mass
improve muscle tone, not so much to look crass

as to ripple a bit under T-shirts too small
I confess though, I'm lazy, and not on the ball
with the workout routine which I try thrice a week
So I summon my will and mentally kick

myself in the butt to get off of my ass
and go to the gym to lift iron and brass

oh, lucky cat, for, although I am far from phat,
my waistline is no longer where it once was at
each passing year seems to add a pound or two
and if not careful, I'll end up phat too

"d" word

Well, as you've guessed, the dreaded "d" word is definately diet. It's a word that, contrary to sirhugs' supposition, makes me voluable, not quiet. I can rant and rave on the cons of any diet for hours... or at least longer than my normal attention span lol.

Diets are evil. Good wholesome eating and a fun, realistic excerise regimen will benefit a body, not starving it of essential nutrients .... okay, enough of that *G* I don't want to put anyone to sleep.

So what's everyone doing for fun on this glorious September day?

Hiya!

Not quite a virgin, but never the less. Apparently I've been cloistered in the Poetry Feedback and Discussion forum and haven't ventured forth. So where's the QT Pi's sorority house? I was told by Lauren Hynde to bring ten gallons of ice cream there. Now I'm lost and melting!?!

A Virgin Hiya

Hey all, I am a definite newbie, been here two days. Kind of intimidating posting, but thought I would give it a try. And now that I am doing it, panic sets in and I can't think of a thing to say LOL.

So ending with kisses and hugs to friends I haven't met yet :)

Ok, girlie, stop and breath. I am a VERY shy person in RL. I am awful on the phone. I am _better_ at live chat. But in forums, I have no inhibitions.

Give yourself time to come up with something, and if you're still dry, at least respond to the other posts, even if it's to the extent of "oh, I like that!"

Besides, if you are too intimidated to post, you'll never get to put a pic up (100 posts). I'm typing towards mine... already have it picked out and everything. Fear the ear-to-ear, shit-eating grin of the Cheshire Cat! It's coming soon! :p

Wow, this is my first post. I've done various chat boards but its hard to figure out who is being honest(been burned a couple times). Maybe this place is a better fit. I've been reading stories and they are cool, I'm thinking about writing one. I'm kinda scared though. Well, hope I get the hang of it all, cati.

Welcome to the board...one thing you should learn off the bat is how to use the PM feature of the board.. I'll leave you to explore it, enjoy ^_^

welcome
we be friendly here
good times are near
not all are honest, but the playground is fun
we chat about everything under the sun
so post early, post often
soon, you'll see the few who are rotten
but most of the folks are salt of the earth
if that term fits those perverse and full of mirth

Hello!

Since I'm a newbie to these boards, I figured I'd drop in to announce it. I do like to play, so don't be shy and I won't either.

To the new ppls...

I once was a newbie, much like yourselves.
I would peruse the boards, never ring any bells
only watch from a far, like a voyuer at heart
too timid to post, lest I have a brain fart.

But soon I was well on my way, in the know.
I followed the regulars, who put on a show
of saying and doing just what they felt
cracking up, making jokes, not only to melt

the ice but reveal themselves to new friends.
I admired this, and joined in the fray. Wit lends
itself readily to those who have time
to think then to post, and just like a chime

A thought came to me, for here is true freedom,
I can role play, make friends in this beautiful kingdom
And the only prejudice anyone has:
your means to express, in what way do you pass

the ideas in your head into type on the page
with the shame of a troll or the skill of a mage?

What a shame, the harder the better ;)

Hi Phatcat, I do believe we're on a thread together. I had no idea you wrote such lovely rhymes, now that is talent.
