I don't know how much he's into it, but he has a bunch of the hardcore people listed in his MySpace friends.

He's also into extreme dirt biking.

My poor sister. :D

Back in the old daze, when I was in high school, one of my classmates was winning every cross country snowmobile race he entered. He was fearless, but he had never crashed. That first big crash is an eye opener.

I wish the kid good luck in all his flights.

Welcome! Thor has really done us all a great service by starting and keeping this thread going. :nana:

I am retired Army living a many miles south of you in the still brown and rainy S.E. Welcome again and hope things with you and yours are going well this holiday season :)

Christmas was good. :)

Good to hear!

My own was spent in introspection, morass, longing and just generally a funky, crappy day. I know next years Christmas will be so much better. Really sucks being away from the love of your life during the holidays.

Hope Del is having a great time in the sun. I wish I was where she was at today!

You just echoed my day. Sorry that yours was crappy, as mine was. Here's definitely hoping next year's is infinitely better! :)

I'm not in Alaska right now, but after being gone for 15 1/2 years, I still consider it home. Of course, I was 10 when I left so I didn't have the fun of trying to keep the pipes from freezing or figuring out how to drive to work in the ice and snow, so I might feel a bit differently if I were to live there today. :D

It's nice to see an Alaskan thread, although I have the feeling I might get a bit homesick if I stick around here for too long. ;)

Stick around! Homesick or not, this is a place of acceptance and understanding as is all of Alaska. Besides...we both know, once you have lived here, your heart will always remain :rose:

I hope next year is better for both of us :)

Welcome!

As long as you consider Alaska as home, then you must be an Alaskan.
