Its not a cushy job, whoever told you that lied to you. They don't get to coast on government benefits if they aren't working either.

If you think they are taking advantage of the tax payers you should go apeshit on the military.

And just like that, school's back in session because they reached a deal. Which was.always where this was going to end up because employees used their bargaining power to address concerns and their employer listened and responded.

Sure it does. Give people back the tax money you steal from them for education and let people spend it on private schools where teachers have an incentive to do their job well.

As it stands right now, teachers have very little incentive to work at all. They were just on strike for a couple weeks with pay and none of them got fired.

The system is broken and it protects public school teachers, who are not worth what they are paid and don't do their jobs well.

There would also be the same amount of kids but magically the demand for teachers would disappear.
