A serious question for redwave

Re: Re: Re: Land of the Free

Looks like someone has crawled out of bed after a lost weekend.

Hic.

LOL. This whole thread has me laughing.

70/30, you sure have a spirited defense of Redwave.

None of us are telling Redwave he must leave. On many occasions he's said how much oppression there is here, how miserable he is with the current state of affairs and how he wishes for a major change to a Marxist approach. Most seem to disagree with him and continue to try to point out to him the folly of those discredited theories through historical example. Redwave continues to ignore these historical examples, so, as an act of kindness, many have simply offered him a helping hand to have the opportunity to examine his utopian "worker's paradise" up close and personal.

Redwave's theory and approach have historically been associated with bloody revolutions and brutal tyranny. It's no surprise that people get a little uptight by it. It doesn't work and the offer of a ticket for him to go exame the closest available "test beds" is a logical and peaceful next step.

Uncle Bill's theory's, in comparison, are not historically linked to violence. There's the difference.

Dead people suck.

I'm glad I'm not one of them.

The worst thing about lost weekends is that you might find them again.

so... those colonists who fought against Britain, wanting to overthrow the system... fighting and dying for independence. Where do they fit in? Or are they heroes merely because you agree with them. and everyone else are just morons?

The colonists were revolting against a system where they had no voice or any other means of changing their government to guarantee them basic rights.

People in this country have the political means to change their government and ensure their rights.

Pretty simple difference if you think about it.

Far as I am concerned if he was born here, he can say whatever the fuck he wants to. Run his mouth all he wants.

But he better be ready to back the country that allows him to do it. If the time came, I want to see him next to me fighting.

If he is from another country, and ain't a citizen, then he better shut the fuck up and go away. Nothing I hate worse than someone who isn't an American, who is living here, sucking off our socialistic tit, and bad mouthing the place. Take your tired ass back where you came from.

He'll find them again. Count on it.

I have to assume that you never got a serious answer. No surprise.

I see that there is some spirited defense for REDWAVE staying. Fine by me. When the time comes I can point him out to my grandchildren and ask, "You don't want to grow up like him do you?" There are all sorts of examples that can be used to educate your children and grandchildren. :)

Its all a matter of opinion. Do you think you're always right? Is this Lit. only for Americans, or do others have a say also?

You need good guys and bad guys to make a story. This is also true for reality. But don't always assume that you're always the good guys. The opposite may also be true. I'm not saying all Americans are bad. Not all of them are good either.

Do us a favor, pull a plastic bag over your head and tie it off.

If I'm able to make you angry so easily, then how can you survive a psychological warfare? You tried many times before, but you never really made me angry. The strongest men are the most patient. I think you are not ready for psychological warfare yet.

Miles, you started this thread saying you wanted to hear what Redwave had to say and that it wasn't flame bait. (yeah right)

I took a quick look through the three pages of your wanking about how great you and your country are and the rest of the world is pondscum......but you were mostly just talking amongst a crew of your redneck drinking buddies.

And then Ishmael wonders why you didn't mount a serious discussion here?

You guys are lightweights...narrow-minded ones at that.

A Desert Rose had it right in the first few posts....like lots of people in the US, Redwave should look at coming to Canada.....consistantly ranked far ahead of the US by the UN as a great place to live ...far more inclusive a society....and we have a Communist Party here even.

:)

Another fab thread boys. Nicely done!

Yes the UN, another great topic. An organization with a maahvelous track record around the world....... ~smiling and rolling my eyes~

Still wondering, how is your medical care up there, Lance?

They wanted to improve the system. They tried every avenue available to them before resorting to war. Taxation without representation was a huge issue, so was government at a distance, and a hundred other things.

They are heroes wether I agree with them or not.
Why would everyone else be a moron? I'm not following your logic. Read over my post again and throw a bucket of ice water over yourself.

Anybody with 100brain cells knows that Miles was/is trying to set Redwave up. I take it you didn't vote Green in 00 but in your estimation do you feel Ralph Nader has made a positive impact on the average American? To me unregulated capitalism is very similar to desparately industrialising communism, the Aral Sea catastrophe and Chernobyl come to mind. I also think the French Revolution was a little violent, something similar could happen if corporations take over and the small people get zero assistance from the state.

In high school I read "The Jungle", maybe Upton Sinclair should have been railroaded out of the country too.

The plight of the Soviet Union had much to do with Stalin, Trotsky aptly gave Josef the same moniker as Adolf, fascist. At least we can be fairly confident Redwave has studied capitalism, I'm not as certain you've studied much about socialism. Norway and Sweden have had some success with their variations. Much of the reason is the guarantee for a higher education and just the impression that the government gives a shit about the people.

Miles, punishing a vocal dissenter sounds an awful lot like a Stalinist tactic. Maybe you should pack your bags since you don't understand/appreciate what this country is all about.

I do not agree with that. I believe his question was very serious. I will say, the anti-redwave sentiment is very strong. I am guilty of of that.

The thing is (IMO) 70/30, redwave brings it upon himself for his actions. He isn't a responsible debater. That is evident in his longshore lock out thread.

Actually, I'm not surprised redwave hasn't replied. Several months ago when I asked him how he justified the links and popups from his website for gambling and other cybercapitalistnausea, he conveniently ignored the question.

No he didn't. His reply was posted but being you, you probably didn't want to comment, it was too honest.

Whenever you're confronted you tend to duck and cover.

I have high hopes that one day you'll be able to express your opinion without sounding like a mirror image of Bush or Sharon. Then I'll know for sure you've graduated through High School...

Miles' follow up comments to me prove what I suspected at the onset. Miles pisses me off, he just puts up stupid oneliners after Ishmael's posts. I really don't think he has the clout to call someone out. There are many ways to debate, inflexibility is what makes Redwave lose. Let him be irresponsible, it is to your advantage. The anti-redwave sentiment is what proves people understand the ineffectiveness of certain approaches. That has nothing to do with who should or should not leave the country.

I think Redwave is just

trying to get things going. Probably a school kid with too much time to kill.
