A Baker's Dozen of the BB

On an earlier thread it was discovered that we missed the BB's first birthday by a month. However, in the spirit of adaptability, we will simply celebrate it's 13 month anniversary (and endevor to be better about dates next year).

So, boys and girls (nobody tell Blue I said girls), what are your fondest memories of the past year and some? The highlights, the lowlights, the low lifes, the times you swear you must have been high to write such a thing?

Who were your warmest memories made with? Who were you wrong about or right about? Who did you win in an auction? C'mon, spill your guts!

My fondest memory have to be that I've met some great friends here on the board.

A few days ago it was actually 6 months ago that a very good friend of mine from here and I started to communicate. Something that we still do on a almost daily basis.

I have so many wonderful memories of my week-and-a half on the BB, it's so hard to narrow it down.

My fondest memory is coming out of the closet and not getting lynched.

The millenium project was a lot of fun too - really brought people together (funny how I can't even remember who else was in on that).

I haven't been around very long, but I've enjoyed my visits so far. I've mostly enjoyed witnessing certain members being brutally knocked down and kicked in the teeth. They keep getting back up. It's a good thing.

Guess I should answer my own questions.

The highlights - the variety of conversation; the Farscape RPG; the fact that's it's ok to be silly, serious, flirty, and even bitchy all at the same time. Besides, where else is "What's up your butt?" a request for advice?

The lowlights - trolls, need I say more?

The times I must have been high to write that - Once, I actually wrote Yay!, I never use that word.

Warmest memories - losing my "virginity", fishing lure pasties, and the up and coming movie with my favorite sister and bunny.

PS - don't worry, Mr. Breakfast Food, I didn't forget you!

I wish I could turn the search on without bringing down the BB - then I could find my favorite threads. There are so many.

My second favorite lowlight is the infamous Cum Taste thread - it was the first time (but not the last) on this BB where I slapped my head in astonishment that adults could be so complete bizarrely immature. Made for great entertainment, though! My first favorite lowlight - the Lowest Point of All Time - was the Lashraloo thread, which was deleted by the author of the starting post (which lead to us disabling the "delete post" feature). I wish it hadn't been deleted - that was a monument to the bizarre. It made Jerry Springer look civilized. Deborah used insults on that thread that I'd never heard before. Someone slammed Dixon hard, and he slammed back. It was the textual equivalent of a barroom brawl. It was unbelievable. It was, in a sense, beautiful. I wish you newbies could read it. Damn damn damn.

There are too many highlights to mention. So many funny, funny threads. So many funny, funny posts. As entertainment, the BB is top notch.

Lowlights: Really aren't that many, maybe at first when I seemed to kill every thread I posted on.
Lowlifes: Personally I like the trolls. They never fail to crack me up just wish they weren't to cruel.
Must have been high to post that: Fucking nothing, no one has seemed to blink at any of my more risque posts. I mean hell just because I wouldn't consider incest or fido sexually exciting doesn't mean I'm not on the edge! Besides I'd still like to whoop Sparky's ass if given the chance.

I guess I'm just glad I found this site and the people to interact with. I was so depressed before I came here, and at least nowadays life doesn't seem that bleak. And I no longer feel trapped in romper room with a Nick Jr. soundtrack in the background.

Fast Times at Ridgemount High

My favorite time is when Roger came out about Racheal. It was when I finally registered for the BB after months of lurking. Meeting Deborah and posting the I am your most rabid fan thread for her. This board is fun for me and I get to leave behind the cares and concerns of a stressful job. I have no family and so in a real sense this is a substitute for me.
It is also the place where I met Roger who I have come to love and admire so very much. There is not a day that goes by that my sense of humor and my heart aren't touched by him.
So I guess I would have to say thanks to Laurel and Manu for the site and all their hard work... You guys are great!!!

In fact, I was reading it the other day. Couldn't help but laugh! It was such a blast to read AND write! I remember reading the first chapter I appeared in (Laurel's chapter) on Christmas Eve of last year before I was supposed to go out to dinner. I was called away right when it was getting to the good part (something with Manu and I) and I left the computer hugely blushing, partially from embarassment and partially from arousal! It's something else to read a story that you yourself are a character in. Needless to say, my smirk and blush did not go unnoticed! Try explaning THAT one! hahaha!

What a great place this is, eh? Happy 13th month birthday Literotica BB!
