🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

Happy Sweaty Sunday! It was a gorgeous day yesterday and I was able to get in a 9.7 mile trail skate. That's the furthest I've gone on my quad skates, and it was an adjustment from skating on a smooth flat track, to a paved pathway that was periodically covered in leaves, sticks and nut death traps. I'm feeling it today in my legs, but also in my low, deep abdominals. Every mile I went I sprinted for at least a solid minute, so being in a low, dead lift squat throughout the skate has me sore in new places. It's a good burn!

Anyone ever been so excited and kinda.. forgetting everything, while working out?
You know, when you experiment with new exercises, inventing your own, feeling all giddy and focused.

- just to discover, that you miiiiiiight overdid it a bit, and feeling that strain in your lower back/hip?

No? Oh, just me then. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂
This is when I feel just a tiny bit old, and!! Grateful for ibuprofen gel (Voltaren salve in Denmark, do not know what it is called other places.).

I can honestly say that I’ve never created my own exercise but I understand the over did it part, lol.

Don’t mess with you back Cat, that’s one area that’ll haunt you forever if you’re not careful.

I know, I know... This was absolutely folly. And not something I want to do again.
Though I managed to create some rather fun, intense and solid sets!
And I reeeeeeeeaally like to work out, to feel that sweat dripping and your every fiber vibrating with energy. 🫠

But, oops? 🙈
Luckily I stopped when I felt the pain pinch a bit, and did some relaxed and gently slow stretching.
🤞🏻 Better tomorrow, tomorrow is a run day!! 🤩

Yeah, can’t say I’ve invented my own movements, but I’ve definitely overdone it, or just slightly messed up a lift and immediately knew it was a mistake…

Hope you bounce back quick!

Weekends are typically my rest days, though I stay active with chores and hobbies, but tomorrow is back in the gym. I’m feeling a lot better so hopefully I can get more strength on my lifts than last week
I'm happy you're feeling better!

Haha yes, definitely been there. I hope you're recovering well!

I practiced skating techniques last night. I love it when a new skill finally clicks. It's been incredibly helpful being able to do some of these moves in front of mirrors as well so I understand the weight distribution and where my feet are. I've finally got these 'open book' lateral steps down.

I'm starting a 30-day wall sit challenge. I'm finding these sits are helping to lower my derby stance and general gait, which helps for me not to topple over. If anyone wants to join and be my wall sit buddy, please do!

Ugh... Yup, that feeling when you just ever so slightly mess up a lift.. 😬

- I should be okay soon, give me a couple of days or a week, and I am hopefully as good as new! 🤩

I'm happy you're feeling better!

🥰🤞🏻 It is a oddly familiar place!

I usually recover rather fast, luckily.

Yeah, I skip straight over the sweat dripping and it just pours out, lol. But yes, I love the feeling.

Rest up and enjoy that run tomorrow!
