Pick your own theme - Chicago 1990s

First of all, greetings from Canada, where I’m working this week! 🇨🇦

I could’ve gone a couple different ways here, but I want to show a wide variety of different styles, so settled on this gem from Wilco.

The fuckin 90s!! ❤️

Wilco - Outta Sight, Outta Mind

60s - Blues
70s - Funk
80s - Punk
90s - Americana

Day 26 - Fucked up relationship songs 1980s

This is the song that caused me to choose this topic. It's weird, disturbing, haunting and unique which seemed appropriate for this time of year. I can't imagine the pain that caused someone to write such a song, it gets very descriptive at times. I was creeped out when I first heard it but I've grown to love it. The video is also "interesting".

So many reasons for me to run and hide
I can't do the little things I hold so dear
'Cause it's all those little things that I fear”

I knew I wanted to pick OK Go for the 2000 decade, because their first album really kicked ass… perfect blend of power and pop… but which song… I wanted to do “Get Over It” but this is pretty iconic… and in their second album. it’s what my youngest grew up with… even my mom liked it. And when my dad was alive, he even liked it.

OK Go - Here We Go Again

60s - Blues
70s - Funk
80s - Punk
90s - Americana
00s - Indie/PowerPop
