well into the double digits. i refuse to count (even if i could remember all of them---i've been sexually active for >25 yrs).

i like sluts. i want to know who the guys with the higher number are. there are exceptions of course, but in my experience men who are sluts are MUCH better in bed. recent divorcees who married young and didn't have many partners before marriage are the worst.

I do not fully agree with that statement.
Of course quality is better, but you learn a lot and experience with multiple partners.

i've spent many drunken hours discussing this with roller-pant friends who say that the best sex that they have had (consistently) is when they are in developed and maturing relationships. mouldy relationships where you simply share bills and moans do not count.
you can learn and experience a great deal with a single partner. we read it, we try it. we're honest. we surprise each other.
yes, if you have sex with many people you are likely to experience things that i will not experience in my relationship. but some of those things (clamydia, crabs, vomit in your cunt, misplacing your wallet etc) are things i really have no desire to experience.
i know that having had many partners does not mean that you only have very casual relationships - it depends on your age and so on. i also realise that not all encounters will have taken place under the influence of other substances. i choose (yes, actually suddenly realised that i have been in a viable position to have enjoyed/endured many more shagadelic opportunties) to focus on a sexually adventuous and compatable relationship which continues to improve and change.
