I get that. I am inside, and a thermometer right next to me says 72 (although I am not positive if works). But I just put on a hoody also… I think watching the big wind storm going on outside is making me cold. Now I really want a grilled cheese.
I’m freezing in my lab today … had to actually put a hoodie on under my lab coat.
It’s only 6°C outside and even though it says it’s 70°F inside it doesn’t feel like it.
A scientist that understands that units of measurement are complicated and always intertwined. What sort of scientist mixes scales of measurement?!
Or too lazy to convert for herself...A scientist that understands that units of measurement are complicated and always intertwined.
It’s fine for non-Thanksgiving mealsI eat that and I give zero fucks about what anyone has to say about it.
It’s true though … especially in Canada. We use metric AND IS both all the time without even thinking … it just comes naturally to us.Or too lazy to convert for herself...
What’s a recipe? One trick that I've used for breadstuffs-cooked-outside-the-bird is to replace the water in the recipe with chicken stock. Helps add a lot to the flavor as in breadstuffs-cooked-within-the-bird!
This coming from a place that renamed boxed macaroni and powdered cheese “Dinner”.I eat that and I give zero fucks about what anyone has to say about it.

Or Thanksgiving meals if you’re poor. It’s fine for non-Thanksgiving meals
Or the kind that crashes a probe into Mars?A scientist that understands that units of measurement are complicated and always intertwined.
It needed more craters… clearly.Or the kind that crashes a probe into Mars?![]()
Do you think in French too? No wonder y’all are bonkers up there! It’s true though … especially in Canada. We use both metric AND IS both all the time without even thinking … it just comes naturally to us.
Same. It’s true though … especially in Canada. We use metric AND IS both all the time without even thinking … it just comes naturally to us.
That looks heavenly. The only acceptable way to cook stuffing outside of a birdis to cook it inside of a waffle maker

I did this the year we weren’t doing a big feast:

That’s cuz you’re smart … like me.Same.
Ahem. It’s true though … especially in Canada. We use both metric AND IS both all the time without even thinking … it just comes naturally to us.
*looks at the US*Do you think in French too? No wonder y’all are bonkers up there!
I think °C works well for me… 0°C is cold as fuck. Obviously because water freezes.Ahem.
*Gets my soap box*
In almost every way, the metric system makes the most sense. It just does. However, when it comes to measuring ambient, atmospheric temperatures, all systems fall short. °F is, like all other forms of US based measurements, just not quite right. °C is not precise enough. I know we could use a decimal, but now there's a third number.
I suggest a new scale, °H, also known as the human scale. 0°H is freezing at sea level. 200°H is boiling at sea level. Easy, indivisible, no tenths needed.
Vote for me, ruler of the world, because the status is NOT quo.
*Puts soap box away*
So what do you keep your temp at when home?I think °C works well for me… 0 is cold as fuck. Obviously because water freezes.
If it gets to 40°C … that’s almost halfway to boiling … OBVIOUSLY that’s hot.
There will be no more discussion on this matter…. *looks over at @Bry1313
I usually keep it at 20°C in winter … and 18°C in summer. So what do you keep your temp at when home?
Fair.*looks at the US*
Oh sure. WE'RE the bonkers ones.....
Must be getting tired, thought it said butt plug...
Here's a big hug....
So, 68° and 64°. Your change of 2 should be expressed as closer to 4!I usually keep it at 20°C in winter … and 18°C in summer.
ok then. So, 68° and 64°. Your change of 2 should be expressed as closer to 4!
