The internet is no longer the space men thought it would be.

More and more women are speaking out against men. How long do you think it’ll be before men start the Terminator AI argument?

I think women are actually at war with themselves.

Two common examples- Women don’t elect women… and most women hate working for a female boss.

Blaming men is cheap and easy.

Internet- most things sexual on the internet have around 20% female users and rarely more than 30%.

So, a large % of the “female” characters here are almost certainly men.

The internet is no longer the nerdy tech space it was. Anyone who can read can probably use the internet with a cheap computer, phone, or free library terminal. But the electricity cost is enormous. To pay the electric bills, internet sites are becoming less amateurish and more marketed and corporate.

I agree. With the rise in social media, all those awesome personal websites and niche corners of the world wide web have become centralized and sold. Facebook started off great but now 75% of my feed are advertisements and only 25% are actual posts by my friends (and that's after turning off all the ad stuff in my settings). Twitter/X is getting just as bad.

I remember when companies like Xbox and Nintendo has their own message boards on their websites but that all went away in favor of social media posts and Reddit. Literotica is the only website that I visited in the late 90s/early 2000s that I continue to visit because it hasn't changed all that much.

I can give you examples. TikTok. Men’s faces, addresses and where they work etc being plastered on the net. The whole damn internet is holding men to account. Everyone has a smartphone these days and the video evidence is shocking. Have you heard about the 4b movement? Or how women are choosing the bear? They’re not new, just examples of what I’ve seen. And it’s more and more every day.

Men who decide to cheat for example. Men who are rapists. Men who are abusive. Men who go around saying shit like “your body, my choice”. Men who are useless husbands and fathers.

Personally, I think it’s a good thing for women.

Yeah, that's true, but it's not like there isn't truth to it. But blame men where blames due, and take accountability for yourself/gender along the process. There's something to be said about women playing the games men make, then men getting pissed off, like that red pill shit.

Another example. The 7 year old daughter whose father told her, “The phone works both ways”

Start taking responsibility for our gender?
Oh woh. Oh Babalon, I hate to say it but you may wanna sit down for everything we’re about to lay at your door if you think one person can be responsible for anything or everything that someone of their gender does
Are you ready to pick up that fork for your first serving of humble pie…?

I didn't mean one person should literally be responsible for millions of people. Just acknowledgment and awareness instead of the "all men" rhetoric. Just like I can call out all the bullshit men do. Was probably a bad choice of wording in attempt to keep things simple. Go on and lay it down, I'm not too prideful to admit I was wrong.

That’s an interesting thought. What made you think that?
Because once it was made public, it was for anybody that could afford the devices to use it. I don't know a lot about the advent of it, but I do know at the very least, it was women who brought fan fiction over fron zines, to it, with their desires to fuck Star Trek captains.

I’m sure that’s not what the OP was saying, certainly not what I was saying
But take the example that I think you were agreeing with above, that ‘women’ are somehow culpable if they don’t vote for a woman
So perhaps just under half of women did, and far more did 8 years ago
But why are women more responsible for a bad election outcome than men? Aren’t men equally responsible for voting well?
And aside from the awfulness of Trump, speaking more generally - are you suggesting you think a woman should vote for a woman on the basis she’s a woman? Rather than voting for who she thinks is the best candidate?

I'm not sure of the point of this thread. As with all pendulums we are swinging towards the feminine rage at the moment. In time it will settle and we will reach a mutual understanding.

The internet is a creature far beyond anything in our history, it is the printing press x 1000, perhaps times a million. This fear and outrage of billions is the beginning of evolution, it is the expression of millenia without voice. It will settle as we all feel heard.. if we can prevent self destruction in the meantime.

As for the internet is no longer for men, choosing the bear, Medusa, aqua tofana etc..
We know it is not all men. We know there are many among you who are safe and sweet and loving. We also know that we cannot know which you are until it is (often) too late. Just as men cannot know which woman is vicious, jaded and cruel.

I don't actually know the Terminator AI reference. I assume it means skynet, big brother, an ulterior unfeeling and therefore compasionless force deciding our fate. A digital god?

Each of us has a choice; we can send hate or love into our world. Those tiny moments such as holding a door, smiling at a flustered clerk, pausing before making a scathing comment, questioning an order, paying attention to a child, listening with intent to understand rather than waiting to speak.. we each decide where our world will move.

I was specifically talking about the part in the comment I bolded. People should vote for who they closer align with, not gender. The electoral college is who picks the prez, anyway. I don't blame anybody for voting for trump, much like like I don't blame a goat for ramming me just for existing near it.

I do question the values of some conservative women, though. Like when all the black folk voted for Obama because he was black. The only thing that came from that, was I can't get my favorite cigarettes.

I don’t even need to be here.

Correctamundo. ❤️

Yep. The earliest works of fanfiction, were americas housewives writing their fantasies of getting dicked down by Picard and I forget the other ones name. When Usenet was a thing.
Let's see, a 90's housewife expected to hold to 50's stereotypes while also working as many hours as their husband. She is aroused by an idyllic society where respect is based on merit rather than gender, race, creed and ancestry. She writes a story about escaping to that world and thus destroys the Internet for men?
