Massage in India ideas please

I’m on holiday in India for a couple weeks from 20 Nov and keen to try a massage, hopefully with happy ending.
Just wondered if anyone has any experience as to whether this may be likely at a hotel spa or other? Thanks

That was half a year ago now, but for any future readers:

Does the hotel have a concierge, or a bar?

The hotel's own spa is not likely to be the place where you'll get what you're after. The concierge or bartender would help you figure out how to find it at an off-premise place.

Concierges' job is to help visitors find, resources services, entertainment, etc. as visitors to the area. And bartenders also serve this function. As such, you can imagine that both of these workers get asked a lot about illicit stuff.

A concierge won't be directly involved with anything illicit, themselves, but, they can provide introductions to people.

Bartenders are also good resources for this kind of thing. Again, they usually aren't the purveyor, theirself, but, they can help you meet a purveyor.

If the concierge or bartender at your hotel cockblocks you (because some of them do 100% completely avoid illicit stuff), then you can walk into another hotel which has concierge or a bar, and ask them. You don't have to be a guest to engage the hotel's concierge or visit their bar - though, you might plan to tip the concierge or bartender more, both for not being a guest and for seeking something illicit.

Just be discreet about how you ask. Respect that while these workers might be pleased to earn your tips by hooking you up, they have to not be obvious about it and they have to maintain some plausible deniability.
