I get mine through the library with the Libby app!

Technically through the Seattle public library. I lied about my age to get a free library card there because my library has poor inventory and doesn’t use Libby.

In FL when the pandemic hit, I used my previous LA address to sign up for virtual library cards with both LA County Library and LA Public Library. Between the two, they have pretty much any ebook I could want. Back in LA now, so at least my cards are legit again

When my brother was in high school he dated a very tall girl. He's only 5'6". When they walked home he would stay on the sidewalk and she walked in the street.

Oooh my grandma would have lectured him about how one is supposed to let women or children walk on the side farther from the street to protect them from any swerving cars!

When I was a kid and we walked together, she insisted on walking on the side closer to the street. As a teenager, she told me to notice such details when determining the character of boys I might consider dating.

I know it’s old-fashioned and anti-feminist (still should apply to children though) and chivalry is dead and all that, but still…wasn’t anyone else brought up this way?
