I’ll go in a different direction. But this one is a staple at many games. This and Zombie Nation.

This is in my favorites and my five year old chimes up last time it came on the radio with "but it sounds nothing like a sandstorm" and rolls her eyes.

That’s classic! My kids are teenagers. So, they roll their eyes at everything I say.

So since my #1 was taken, there are so many ways I could go here. I'm going to go personal. On the heels of a National Title in 2002, Maryland basketball was the place to be. As a long time season ticket holder, in 2004, they introduced me to this song which was an anthem that pumped up the crowd for the rest of the Gary Williams era and the song and those teams are forever linked in my mind.

I'm going in the direction of a crowded dance floor in the late aughts. If you happened to be taking a breather, this song would pull you right back out there

Obviously, you're just teasing... hockey is the best.
I luv many other sports, as well... but hockey's so good that you can't even go directly from watching it to watching another sport, or the other sport will seem like shit in comparison. You need to cleanse yourself with a sitcom or something, in between (lol)... then you can proceed 'safely'. We've even got pictures of kids playing hockey on our money up here...

Excellent choice.
I saw these guys before they blew up in popularity and it was one of the best concerts I ever attended. I drove to Newcastle with my new flatmate and we got rip roaring drunk together and ended up eating crackers in the shower of some random hostel together after the show.

I’m picking this song just to be a bit different, and also because I will be seeing these fools live next Wednesday. Dressed in their best Dwarven outfits and playing their nerdy fantasy metal and I can’t wait. This song absolutely fits the theme.

I know it is used lots of places but if you ever have been to a football game at Virginia Tech, they started it and it's an awesome spectacle.

They played at the uni back in 2005 and were pretty big around then - by 2007 they had played a ton of festivals around the world, maybe at the Cambridge in 2007? Another great venue lost
