This is where I have a problem "canceling" someone for some post they made 20 years ago, when they were a dumbass 13-year-old trying to be edgy or cool or quoting someone they didn't know they shouldn't have been. We all grow. I was talking about it in the Song Challenge thread. I am pretty sure the kids in junior high who punched me in the back for "going to see that gay singer" when I wore my Queen concert tee to school are all praising Freddie now. I think the point we mature is when we go from "I hope they get hit by a car, but don't die," to, "I hope they got the help they needed and got to a better place." I know I did, and I am in a better place. And I think we all are.

I enjoyed the second one, Aftershocks. I appreciated that they didn't just remake the first, but in Mexico! Changing the Graboids into something else. The creature design was first rate. And Fred Ward is a national treasure. After that...yeah.

But I have the first five on one DVD set I picked up for a dollar, so if I am in the mood for stupid, I can go to my Tremors: Attack Pack!

He was. I got into politics as a young teenager for anti-Packwood sentiment. I worked for anyone running against him. At, like, 13.

But yeah, the fact that he was getting drunk on boxed wine was an actual argument against him. The sexual harassment had been an open secret for years, part of which led me to the above mentioned campaigning.

Is it like summer in Finland? What’s going on over there. In Nee England it pretty much rained/sleeted all day. I’m tired of wiping mud off doggy paws

Oh not even close to summer yet, June is the first summer month. Streets have just melted and freed all the gravel that has been spread to prevent slippery conditions, and all the accumulated dust from the gravel, tyres etc. So if it's dry, it's fucking dusty, until they clean all that gravel and dust away. That takes weeks, though it's done fast.

And this weekend we're getting a bit more snow. Otherwise spring is a dry season here, except for the melting water. We might get a few floods this year I suppose.

Crocuses will bloom around Labour day, and by the end of May trees will have full leaves. That part of the spring goes fast, almost violently. 2 months from freezing to +20, occasionally we even get +25 by the end of May. (For me the spring in France was frustratingly slow. Much longer time for mush smaller change.)
