I have a feeling those that like the movie are of a certain flock. I’ve always felt that people either love that movie or abhor it. No in betweens

I get both camps. Rob is an self-centered asshole, but an amiable one, so it sort of sneaks up on you. If you accept that, it is easier. Barry....oh Barry and Dick. But mostly Barry. I am of the record store generation. I loved them, loved music, loved all of it. And there were good record stores that are sort of like the Song Challenge thread. People were pulling out current or obscure albums, playing them, and saying "here is a cool thing I think you will like." Other stores had Barrys. In spades. Hating on you for your opinion, and very vocal about it. And while it is funny, in an over the top way, it is exhausting. Jack Black is perfect in that role, because a lot of him is exhausting to me as well. (The one role I loved him in was The Jackal. Just saying.)

So I like the film, saw it in a theater, but I also get the animosity. But the cameos are

When I was a paramedic we picked up a guy who has passed out from blood loss because of an upper GI bleed. He tried to come onto me while the doctor was elbow deep in a rectal exam

Yikes! Also, have to ask…was the upper GI bleed due to him sticking something he shouldn’t stick up there, or just a spontaneous medical emergency?

Upper GI is your esophagus, stomach & duodenum. I don't know what caused the bleed, but one of the indicators is stool that looks like coffee grounds, which is what blood that's been digested looks like...the the rectal exam
