You have interesting answers. No change in safety
The interview with Eisenkot aired hours after Netanyahu rejected the idea of holding elections in the middle of a war that he has said could well continue into 2025, and vowed to “bring complete victory” over Hamas in response to the Gaza-ruling terror group’s October 7 attacks, when thousands of terrorists went on a killing spree across southern Israel, massacring 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking some 240 as hostages.
“Whoever speaks of absolute defeat is not speaking the truth,” Eisenkot said in the interview. “That is why we should not tell stories… Today, the situation already in the Gaza Strip is such that the goals of the war have not yet been achieved.” …
Asked whether Israel’s current leadership is telling the public the truth, Eisenkot responded simply, “No,” and appeared to take a jab at Netanyahu’s refusal so far to take direct responsibility for the October 7 intelligence, military and leadership failures.
“I am already at the stage and at an age where I do not trust this or that leader with my eyes closed, and I judge a man by his decisions and the way he leads the country,” he said.
Well, when the stated objectives can't be met, as you suggest, then the war was lost before it began.Israel is losing the war
War cabinet minister and former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot called for new elections and scoffed at Netanyahu’s promise to vanquish Hamas. Eisenkot, who lost a son fighting in Gaza, also declared that he had no confidence any longer in Netanyahu’s leadership:
Yes, that's what some have claimed.there is no alternative......
If everything is a lie, what is the truth?I see lots of stories about cell phones n internet being out in Gaza, yet I see tons of TWEETS by Gazans so how can internet and cell be out? All lies!
what I sayIf everything is a lie, what is the truth?
Ok white_bBwhat I say
Who said a deal was needed to retrieve hostages?Hamas will never make a deal, cause if they did, they lose all leverage
Israel cannot bring back hostages alive without a deal, war cabinet minister says
“I think we need to say it bravely, that we cannot bring the hostages alive now if it's not as part of a deal,” Eisenkot told an Israeli broadcaster during an interview on Thursday evening local time, saying that those who suggest otherwise are “selling lies.”
All I've said is that there are alternatives for every situation. If you can't reach your objectives with current approaches, try other means to reach them or rework your objectives.Israeli war cabinet minister Gadi Eisenkot believes his country won’t be able to bring the hostages taken by Hamas back alive through military means, saying their release needs to be negotiated.
Former Chief of Staff vs YOU.............Hmmmm..............
About 95% of its territorial operational capability was destroyed, so for all practical purposes it has been destroyed. Read about it here:Isis was never destroyed...diminished but not destroyed. And that,.literally, demonstrates why the "war on terror" is mostly words instead of an objective and obtainable goal.
I already said, it was diminished. Can you not fucking read?About 95% of its territorial operational capability was destroyed, so for all practical purposes it has been destroyed. Read about it here:

The best way is to destroy it like we did Isil:We created isis as did israel create Hamas. Best way to control the opposition is to own it.
Isis has taken credit for four attacks already this year. The best way is to destroy it like we did Isil:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/mar/23/the-rise-and-fall-of-the-isis-caliphate

It has been "greatly" diminished. If you want to parse that be saying there may be some members here and there, be my guest, but for all practical purposes, it has been destroyed.I already said, it was diminished. Can you not fucking read?
If your goal is to destroy them, then diminished is not sufficient.
Yes, you miss my point. But that's not surprising. It has been "greatly" diminished. If you want to parse that be saying there may be some members here and there, be my guest, but for all practical purposes, it has been destroyed.
You are the type who would have called Steven Hawking dumb.
You’re quite possibly the dumbest creature on here!! Thousands of videos of “Joe Biden” for years with no speech impediment. Willfully ignorant to the bone![]()
Do you even know who Steven Hawking is? Wait I withdraw that question , I know the answer; you have no fucking clue.I do find it interesting that Steven hawking was a frequent flyer on the Lolita express. That’s some shameless debauchery.
Ya. Never heard of him. C’mon man. You are drivel. He was there.Do you even know who Steven Hawking is? Wait I withdraw that question , I know the answer; you have no fucking clue.
To answer your question; inasmuch as there is more awareness, yes. There are now stringent security directives in place. Inasmuch as can it happen again, yes possibly. Nowhere is 100% safe in this world, not the US, not the UK, certainly not in many Asian countries, etc. etc. Hamas-ISIS and Hezbollah try all the time to infiltrate Israel. So far, the IDF is extremely vigilant.Adding one more question here:
Is Israel safer because of their actions than they were?
Didn't another attack happen in the country last week?To answer your question; inasmuch as there is more awareness, yes. I sure did post that Palestinian propagandist, debate was getting more than a bit one-sided here. I felt she made some good points.
Also, "refusal to condemn" is not the same as "justifying/condoning" in my book. YMMV.
You can lecture us all about Gaza committing "Genocide" all you like, but the casualty rate of somewhere around 15-20 to 1 is a much better indicator to me about who is committing genocide on who.
Side note: Have you seen the latest slick PR trick from the IDF? Captive female Israeli soldiers are being called "hostages". I'm so old I remember when captured soldiers were called "Prisoners of War".
