Mary Lou Retton, Libertarian Grifter

She had a pretty bad setback this week.

She's returned to ICU.

Mary Lou Retton was discharged from the hospital yesterday. She is expected to have to undergo a lengthy recovery regimen at home.

Through her daughters, she thanked the public for raising almost a half million dollars to help pay for her hospital bills. Her daughters also confirmed that the Retton family did not (and still does not) have ANY health insurance, which they rejected "on principle".

Hey idiots can give away their money to whomever they want, right?

Marylou explained it all on the Today show this morning.

She couldn't afford health insurance for herself and her four daughters because as a frequently injured Olympic athlete, she had all sorts of.......pre-existing conditions.

Pre-existing conditions that prevented her from getting health insurance.

You remember "pre-existing conditions", right?

Those "pre-existing conditions" that were made illegal by that dastardly Black president in 2014?

Some people just never get the memo.

Ah moar details leaking out today.

Turns out Mary Lou Retton had substantial cash assets after all. About a half million dollars.

When you have significant cash on hand, your ACA payment is correspondingly higher.

She thought that was "unfair" and opted completely out of ACA, choosing to go uninsured because she thought she had enough cash to handle medical emergencies.

She didn't.

Her grifting daughters saw their potential inheritance dwindling away, so they started a GoFundMe with a sob story without their Mom's knowledge.

It worked and they raised $453,000 dollars.

I guess the biggest 'reveal' out of this is that the Olympic Committee doesn't give a crap about has-beens.
