I've come very close to receiving an injury that would have been fatal three times...electrocuted by 480V in the navy, ducked just in time to prevent a large counter balance weight from crushing my skull against it's end of travel stop - again in the navy, a fireworks accident where we blew the top off an empty 3-pound can of coffee - only to have the top impale itself 3 inches deep into the trunk of a tree about 2 inches from my forehead...
