Love this song
Just one song today, said Iโd be goodDay 18: A song that tells a story
One of my favorite songs, straight up. Just amazing.
Just an aside: my dad used to play this when I was very little. We would go camping in the mountains as our vacation, just me, my dad and my three brothers, for two weeks every summer. We would drive his great big green and white ford pickup back in the mountains and hike into the middle of nowhere. I alternately loved and hated those trips. This was always a song that he played on the way. So when I hear it, I can hear my dad singing it.![]()
Duuuude ANOTHER favorite song. Great album too. I'm gonna have to play some Dylan today.Just one song today, said Iโd be good
Gonna get a little weird with it today!Day 18: A song that tells a story
This was my runner upOne of my favorite songs, straight up. Just amazing.
Everybody has lots of great selections. Lots of Dylan, which I dig. This one I always liked and loved it's use in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
Pretty wild Murder ballad. I guess it is not a true story but a dream he had about ex. Phoebe Bridgers covered it on her first album too and I think more people think she wrote it.Day 18: A song that tells a story
Day 18: A song that tells a story
This version was new to me! I love it!
Stagger Lee - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Awww.Angelica! You have incredible taste. Iโm always on the lookout for your shares. Both fabulous songs. Royals is somewhat of a theme song for me and Into the Mystic it just such a beautiful one. Crushed it again![]()
Eurythmics - Missionary ManDay 17: A song youโd choose for karaoke

Steve Earle - Galway Girl
I had to include a second video option. The lyrics are harder to understand here, but there's such joy in everyone's faces that it always makes me smile to watch it.
The biggest ever street performance of Steve Earle's "Galway Girl" took place on June 11th, 2016 in Galway, Ireland. A record breaking number of over 15 000 people came along to take part in the performance. Sharon Shannon, Mundy, We Banjo 3, Amazing Apples, Roisin Seoighe, Lackagh Comhaltas, Galway Rose Rosie Burke and thousands of other artists and supporters were among them.
I didn't pick two different songs. I did post two videos for the one song because my favorite video (2nd one) doesn't have the best sound quality. I will edit my post to remove the first video and include the lyrics instead.Welcome to the revolution!![]()
Does that mean you are defecting? Are you going to fall in line with Hope Haddon?I didn't pick two different songs. Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a perfect choice.....A song that tells a story
I thought about going with"Rime of the Ancient Mariner" but that one was a bit obvious.
Fans of "The Walking Dead" show will recognize the opening.
Iron Maiden "Where the Wild Wind Blows"
Nice Sex Education reference. I don't see @morelikeasong as being like a repressive headmistress. NMK.Does that mean you are defecting? Are you going to fall in line with Hope Haddon?
The both had a lot of rules and very little flexibility.Nice Sex Education reference. I don't see @morelikeasong as being like a repressive headmistress. NMK.
