I was just in Canada. It is an amazing nation!

NOV 11th has a different meaning on Commonwelath states. Much more like the US Memorial Day.

My fist day in Sydney Australia was November 11th, “Remembrance Day”, I’d arrived early on the morning from S.F. and was weary. But I’ll never forget the sight of mobs of girls with poppy pins for any unadorned person.

I accepted one, gave a donation and thought it was one of the most genuinely sweet and powerful gestures I’ve seen to honor the fallen.
