I am a Stepmother I have genetic issues that mean I was never meant to be a mother of my own children.
I think we still deserve the recognition for having a womb and the possibility of unleashing our spawn on the world even if we never do.

Thank you ♡ I don't have kids but am a motherly figure to my 9yo niece

When my hair whas thinning the only thing I needed was more iron.

Yet I am willing to believe what you say, as I am using a product that makes my eyelashes go several millimeters longer, an probably somewhat thicker as well. It took some 3 months to show.

Interesting! Yeah 3 months seems to be the timeline. I am noticing the difference. My hair was growing more slowly in some areas after chemo so the shampoo is helping. Thankfully I have a lot of hair so it wasn't noticeable

My other option is to realize how old I am, and just not worry about it.

Thank you, and I agree with all of that. You are dead right that men shouldn't need to be congratulated every five minutes for merely behaving decently, and nor should they expect it. Speaking purely practically, it may be harder to sell the idea of institutional male privilege to blue collar guys on the breadline than to someone like me who exudes privilege from most of my pores. But it's true nevertheless.

That's for sure. It really will take those of you who are conscious to bring those topics up and call out behavior amongst other men!

Today after work I have organised a picnic for the teenagers I mentor that don't currently have a mother figure it's a little late on this side of the world but I think they will have a good time anyways

It's a good chance for them to mingle without restrictions of our usual group therapy classes they can all enjoy the sunshine and fresh air and hopefully make stronger friendship with eachother and bond a bit
