Chaos... to be continued

Here you buy your own washer/dryer. I plan on having one which does both jobs.

Dish washers, on the other hand, are usually considered fixed and are not taken with you when you move. Common, though not self evident even in rented apartments.

AC... Not so much.
Everything has to be bought for my flat. I managed to get a cooker and washing machine within the last year. Next I’m aiming for furniture :) Only required fixtures and fittings are included in this building

@Strixaluco I have a random question for you, since you're the only non-Brit European here... do you generally use a 24 hour clock when giving times? For example, if you were telling someone when you are available for an appointment, would you say at 13:00 or 1 pm?

Thank you for letting me pick your brain! :D
Both are used, but 24h is official. If you say the meeting will be at 1 o'clock, people will naturally assume it is pm. We don't have a nice little abbreviation for am/pm.

But I'd like to remind you that I can't say for all Europe! We have many cultures and languages here. That applies for Scandinavia at least, and I didn't really have to change my thinking in France.

Thank you! And yes, it's definitely very diverse, just adding a data point! :)

I had a Dutch friend who got upset with me for saying PM once... she always uses the 24 hr clock and had no idea 24 and 12 were interchangeable here!
