Democrats are pushing America toward economic disaster

On Thursday, the U.S. Commerce Department released important data showing the U.S. economy severely underperformed in the second quarter of 2021.

According to the quarterly figures, U.S. gross domestic product improved by just 6.5%, which includes the months of April, May, and June. Many analysts expected GDP growth to hit 8.5%, which would have been 26% higher than the reported data from the Commerce Department.

That’s not the only economic problem facing the country. In July, U.S. businesses reported more than nine million jobs open in May that were not filled, the highest number ever recorded. (The data goes back to 2000.) Inflation has continued to persist throughout 2021, and there are no signs of a return to normal......

If they can't fill their jobs, they need to offer more money. It really is that simple.

When a handful of economists think good numbers should have been better you are not being pushed towards an economic disaster. You're just not quite where you expected to be. The Covid relief programs may be allowing people to remain unemployed longer. Maybe once a decade or so we should come up with some similar program that will just force employers to raise wages to lure workers back in from the comfort zone though.

Cus there is no labor shortage, just a wage shortage. If you believe the covid relief programs are pretenting you from hiring then you need to raise your wages high enough that the benefits of working for you outweigh the benefits of sitting on your ass. It really is THAT simple.

You don't know much about business, do you? You can't raise wages if you cannot maintain market share with higher prices to cover it. Reducing profit margins to do so reduces incentives to put capitol at risk in business ventures, in the first place.

No. They need to pay people enough that what the government is currently paying is LESS than they would make heading in to work.

Why should they be competing against the government that is supposed to be helping and protecting them?

Which means prices rise...inflation, which we see roaring back.

We have that anyway. A rise in average wages won't make it much worse, and inflation is more often than not a good thing, a sign of economic growth.

We don't have that "anyway," we have that as a direct result of government fiscal policy, which is driving a lunatic monetary policy. And it isn't improving.

If that is the case in your company, you've got bigger problems than your staff's wage levels. The relationship you're describing here is not that elastic, and is a lot more complicated than you're implying here.

Since mostly the 1% already aren't investing their money but are hoarding it, I won't lose any sleep over that one.

The moratorium on evictions has been lifted. You will see many families evicted. You will see many families homeless. You will see more tent cities. You will see more panhandlers.

You don’t want government bailouts. You don’t want government to even be involved.

What will you be doing about it?

Well, I would attack the unemployed, first by shelling their houses, and then, when they run out into the street, mowing them down with machine-gun fire. And then, releasing the vultures.

I realize these views are unpopular, but I have never courted popularity.

According to all you knuckleheads Dems have been this for 100 years...I guess they failed or are terrible at it.

Or it ain't gonna happen.

Yea, lets blow inflation all the way up and crap the USD out. :D

Make me fucking RICH

Inflation won't get TOO high and you getting rich isn't an issue if unemployment goes down at a similar rate which I have every single reason to believe that it would, even if that isn't the smartest way to do do it. I have to be realistic though and remember Republicans want the country to fail right now.

No, just look at their cities....Detroit, Baltimore, Minnicrapolis, San FranPOOPsco.

We don't want the country to fail, we want the control freaks and their totalitarian bullshit to fail so we can get back to living life.

I'm largely out of the USD, and anyone who wants to retain their wealth/value should get out/away from the USD as much as they can.

All, I see....all those cities you list....you only see the bad stuff

I guess millions of folks don't live in those places, living out their lives just like any other place....chuckles.

Kind of hard to ignore the overwhelming presence of filth and crime. ;)

LMFAO!!! I'm largely from the bay area bro.....over the years I've watched San Francisco go from America's crown jewel to the city of trash, homelessness, open street sewage problems and looting. All 100% under total Democrat control.

Moved to the midwest in 2019 and I watched Minneapolis do it overnight.

I have family in Seattle, Ventura CA, Bay Area CA, Chicago, Detroit and DFW.

Sorry will....you're just wrong here.

San Fran Bay area....one of the best and most liveable cities in the entire country if not the world...I particularly like the index on "Business Freedom".

Nope, you are incorrect again. You were just a turd living in a golden bag that you could not make(because you re on a fixed govt income)....which is 100% no surprise based in every idea you have purported here.

So, is your idea of liveability to live in a shotgun shack?
