bought some luscious honey crisps today for eating... big, crisp, red/gold, and each bite tasting like autumn. the sort of apple i'd use for toffee apples.
(reminiscent of a cox's orange pippin)
of course, it goes without saying that granny smiths are the ONLY apple pie apple to consider -- unless y'all know something different and can persuade me of its merits!
